A screen protector is a must for me on my iPhone. I have a power support crystal.

For me 10-15 minutes of taking my time putting it on correctly with no air bubbles (therefore you have to really look close to notice its even on there) is worth the months of peace of mind i'll get when putting my iPhone anywhere, if it picks up a mark on the screen i dont care cause its damaged the screen protector NOT the screen.

My opinion is that if you can afford an iphone you can affort $20/£10 and 15 minutes of your time to provide a basic level of protection for the phone.

no screen protector for almost a year and mine still looks good (just have a case for the phone's body. One thing I like to do is wax the screen w/ car wax (no joke!). It makes it feel crazy smooth and smuges hardly cling to it.

It's just a phone! It will get marks on it, so what. It will still work,

as a Phone!!!

PS I don't use a case:D

the question is... if you can put a screen protector on and not notice it, while it prevents scratching then why would you NOT use one?

See italics. There is no screen protector that you "don't notice." They all feel different to the touch than the glass does.

Now, obviously some people don't care about that. That's fine for them, but I'm not going to do that to myself.

The iPhone screen is bright enough to hide all but the worst flaws. So I'm not going to degrade my phone experience on the chance that I might get a huge scratch on the phone. I think that's amazingly rare. I'd rather have a phone I enjoy touching every day. That's why I spent extra money to get an iPhone over some other phone: To enjoy it. Screen protectors ruin that.
