This is a reboot.
Here is the original thread when it was Marvel Netflix series, top notch, top audience ratings:
Original actors coming back, word is it’s good, but I won’t know till I try it. Any opinions? I’m currently watching Andor…
I’ve forgotten most of the plot of the original other than I liked it, I remember the bad guy. it would be interesting to compare Season 1 of each version to see how different they are.It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't great IMHO. King Pen's character is still pretty crazy and to me there were scenes that makes one uncomfortable, in a good way due to his acting. Be prepared going in... There were a couple of things that rubbed a little wrong... but overall, it was good, not great.
I am looking forward to season two which is penciled in for March of 2026.

Well, It’s always possible to re-watch the Daredevil or check up - The Punisher: One Last KillI’m several episodes in and am wondering if this a reboot or a sequel? I could not say what happened to Fisk and Matt Murdock at the end of the original series, so I looked it up:
2018: Daredevil Season Three
Netflix’s Daredevil ended with its third season, and it was a pretty happy ending all the way around. Daredevil strikes a sort of truce with Kingpin — basically, he’ll leave Fisk’s new wife Vanessa alone if Fisk leaves Karen and Foggy alone. Fisk and Vanessa both end up in custody. Matt, Foggy, and Karen decide to resurrect their old law firm together, which lines up with where we see them in the Born Againpremiere.
… except they boot both Foggy and Karen, something unknown happened that caused DD to retire from vigilante action, and Fisk returns “having given up his criminal empire”, and there is a reference to Fisk being harmed by a vigilante… this feels more like a sequel. 🤔
So far, the original series has a better character dynamic, although I say this as someone assimilated with the original, while this is a new dynamic I’m getting used to.
