I see I can only show the temps on the watch without purchasing the full version is that correct?

I’d love to give the whole thing away for free, believe me! The extra complication customization is more of an extra perk for putting up with paying the yearly subscription because I felt bad about making people pay that extra money. I honestly wouldn’t have been able to afford all that time I put into the complication customization without their support.

The premium features are a small bonus - without it you still get the complication with weather and temperature..... With the upgrade you can tweak what it shows a bit more and it updates the weather from your phone to the watch a little more regularly. You aren't missing out on much.

Great app by the way.

Ok so I made carrot my main modular large complication. It will give me conditions and all that but not the rainfall heads up or the hourly forecasts right? That's premium? And it will update every hour or so on its own, even as I change locations? I have the location services set to "when app is in use" and not "always" so I don't kill my battery. All I care about is the app updates every hour and respective to my location change without having to open the app or refresh it manually.

Yep, all that will be fine. (And you don't really have to worry about having location set to "always", I use the "significant change location monitoring service" that only updates when you've moved a significant distance since the last update. It uses cell tower triangulation instead of GPS, so it shouldn't really affect your battery at all.)
