Did all of these things and still no joy. It is strange that it's working for some and not for others.

Here a funny one: Darksky works on one face and not another. Has Darksky responded to these issues?

Update: I sent them a note.

I added Dark Sky to the center position on the Infograph Modular face and it was fine. Then I tried a different complication, but when I switched back to DS all I got was the DS name and the dotted lines. Nothing had changed, other than leaving it for a minute and going back again.

Like others, I'd recommend Carrot Weather over Dark Sky. I've found the latter to be buggy across several watchOS versions.
Yeah, I finally gave in and bought Carrot Weather. I don’t mind paying for the app, but I hate having to buy a premium subscription every year just to keep something functional. It just feels like blackmail.

I don’t think the subscription is unreasonable, given that the developer has to pay for the weather data the app pulls in, particularly from Weather Underground.

I’m sorry other people are having this problem as well. To update, mine randomly started working a week or two ago. I tried the suggestions in this thread when I had the issues and gave up and went back to the weather app. Then randomly decided to check again, got the dashes, but then when I opened dark sky the complication started working. No idea what caused it. I assumed it was an update but the resurgence of this thread seems to show otherwise.

Mine just started working yesterday. It was right after the 5.1 update (which was later pulled), so I assume that was what did it.

No there’s not an additional fee for the Watch app.

From the MakerOfCARROT himself..

The subscription is $3.99/year or $0.49/month, and yes you do still have to pay the upfront fee. The upfront fee is for the app itself, the subscription is for the background data updates and a few other features that have ongoing data costs.
Subscription for a weather app? Yikes!

I’ll pass.

Dark Sky works just fine for me. I’m, currently, using the utility face, but have used it on modular, numeric, simple, & infograph modular with no issue.

Which location did you put it at in the modular face? I tried the 3 bottom ones - left, center, right - and "Dark Sky" does not appear in the scrolling app list.

It appears in all of them for both the modular & infograph modular.

I tried it again today and it was on the scrollable selection list. I didn't reinstall or otherwise modify the Dark Sky watch app, so who know why it wasn't on the list before.

Thx for posting screenshot.

Stupid question, but you’ve set Dark Sky to mirror iPhone alerts in Notifications? Otherwise delete the app and reinstall?

You’re welcome!! Glad it started working for you
