I barely look apple weather much except just quick look weather home screen. I looked properly today and seems that Apple finally added percentage chance of rain in weather app! I have no clue how long it been there and I given up waiting for Apple to add it in from Dark Sky. Now I can finally use it.
I think some of that has been there since at least ios 16..but it does get better and better and actually more dynamic in what it elevates to the top and what it presents from each tile - when drilled down into - based on again dynamic, location and situational influences.

Overall, I think by NOW it is offering more better information - assuming the actual DATA is accurate - and while to some extent it’s not as clean in look and feel, what it offers is as good if not better.

I’d like to be able to prioritze what shows up in the main page of any location, but what the app decides to do - and again it is dynamic - ends up being close enough.

I haven’t really looked since March 2023 after waiting for so long for apple to add that, it was missing for ages and Dark Sky app closed down stopped working and apple still didn’t add that.

Good they finally did add it in now. So now I can pay more attention to apple weather app for rain.

Yes, and assuming one has the local weather setting ON (which uses GPS and location data) then that top tile will A) be most active an up to date and B) hyperlocal weather alerts will occur both on screen, lock screen, watches, etc.. DS things like “rain expected to being in 10 minutes and last for 1 hour”

Are you talking about at top part shows rain in that hour if there is rain? That been there since near beginning but I wasn't talking about that. I was talking about percentage chance of rain that been missing for long time, like 10am 10% chance, 3pm 50% chance, 10pm 20% chance, etc. That was missing until now.

I have attached screenshot show what I mean.

No, that’s IN the daily hourly screen and the detail about prescription, but IF there is current or hyperlocal precipitation then at the top of a location page is a DYNAMIC Alert for precipitation. Nothing near me now, but I just pulled up Little Rock and you can see what the dynamic screen looks like. When the rain stops, that top panel wouldn’t be there..

Yeah that been around for ages. I was talking about my screenshot that is new and been waiting for since Dark Sky support ended. Your screenshot is useful only for that hour but not rest of day or week. My mum always asking me will it rain at 3pm or something then I use dark sky tell her percentage chance of rain if any but Apple weather didn't have that until they finally added recently though dunno how long it been around.

Yeah, I’ve had that change of precipitation screen since before ios 17, one just has to select the hourly, then precipitation..
