Typical for this site actually, anyway it's working again.Who came into a thread specifically about Dashboard to piss all over it? You got nothing better to do? Move along. We all know the Notification Center exists but thanks again for the brilliant suggestion.
Gotta love how worked up the dude got smugly telling people to change their workflow, and then it was fixed.Typical for this site actually, anyway it's working again.
It's outrageous we need to go to such lengths to make something which has been a fundamental part of OS X work correctly. Epic fail, Apple.
Yep, I can confirm this too that weather dashboard widget is now working. Our voices were heard!Dasboard is now working in for me in Mojave 10.4.5. Seems to be fixed. Was not working for me before the latest update.
We have a fix for this in another thread.Yes...is a problem with yahoo service provider, jut Apple can solve this thing changing the provider for the app. I have an 2011 27' imac with OS X Maveriks, and i really liked the dashboard..it was one of the reason, why i switch to mac from pc, 8 years ago. Now everything seems to go worse and worse with apple..i really miss the ,, Think Different" vision. Now is just flat ugly design, and all the cool features are dying..like dashboard
I have my scroll wheel button programed to my dashboard. So here's a legit question. Why not use the Weather widget in Notification Center? That works and it's on the desktop and slides out along with the Stocks, calculator widgets. It seems Dashboard became redundant when Apple began using the Notification Pane.
Okay fair enough. I'm just the opposite, I think the widget in NC is quite easy to read and also gives a 6 day forecast.I have my scroll wheel button programed to my dashboard.
Also the widget is way easier to read than notification center. Way better design.
Dashboard goes bye bye in Catalina. Told y'all so.
Notification Center works fine for me.I recreated it where it works in any desktop space instead of having to be in its own space. I recommend searching the Mac App Store for "ClassicWeather" it's pretty much a more functional variant of the same weather widget usable on any desktop space. I also got widgets for battery status, calculators, calendars, etc on all my desktops. Quite nice actually. Don't have to leave what app I'm in just to view them.
