I'm not the best person to be testing battery life. I use my phone a lot daily and it never lasts a whole day for me and I charge it half way through the day whether it's close to being empty or not. Sorry. Someone else will have to let you know if its a battery hog or not.

How do they (idownloadblog) put the stock and weather widget on screen? It does not appear to me lol

Home screen you mean? To add widgets just press and hold on an empty space on your home screen and you'll get a list of your installed widgets. Are you using an iPhone? Or are you using an iPad so you don't have the widgets? (not sure if the iPod has the widgets or not). If you're on an iPad download this widget Stock NC Widgets for iPad

Oh yes sure! I forgot that iPad doesn't have them... Thanks, i'll download that.

I paid for the app and downloaded it, and so far it seems to work as expected and, so far, no crashes.

However, it isn't exactly what I wanted.

It turns the entire set of SBSettings widgets from the notification center into one long horizontal widget on the home screen. They work properly, but I didn't all of them...just a couple of them, like turning DATA on or off, or turning RINGER on or off.

:D

I don't use SBSettings, I use ISX quick settings. If you don't have ISX you an get NCSettings for free. A lot of people have started replacing SBSettings with this tweak.

I installed it today and my device crashed alot after the installation, so for now I deleted it from my iphone:mad:

yeah, i had some crashes as well. they just released an update a bit ago that supposedly addresses some stability issues.

Have not had any crash problems with my iPhone 4 on iOS 5.1 after installing Dashboard X and I am using it with Springtomize 2. It did say weather was not available at one point but later the weather was there and it was only that one time.

Actually feel like this is an app I have been waiting for, for a very long time. Whoever designed the weather widget that comes with it, needs to do a clock/ calendar widget. The one that is available out there looks like dodo and does not fit properly and the creator used a lighter background so it does not match any of the included widgets.

Over all, I am glad that I "purchased" the Dashboard X app and hope/pray that coders can create some awesome widgets to include with it.

I don't think a weather widget comes with it. You must be talking about the default notification center weather widget. The person who designed the clock widget is the same person who made the tweak Dasboard X :p

doesn't it simply use the widgets built into notification center? so the author of weather would be apple.

 Oops...you are absolutely correct. When I installed the app, it came with SBSettings, Stock_, and Weather_ Widgets which all look similar and fill a row properly. The Clock Widget is really wide and overlaps other rows and looks absolutely terrible. If one could resize it so that it had same width dimensions as the other widgets then it would look awesome.

I am tired of themes and adjusting things for personal preference and then apple updates iOS and changes image names just to be annoying so they have to all be fixed and then they change app file names and that has to all be edited and I am just done with themes. This is a great replacement. I can use my own wallpaper, do my layouts with Springtomize and just add the widgets that I like. Just want a clock/calendar widget that goes with the weather widget and I am good to go.

I use Digital_GPS_LS_Low live weather animation from Ian on my lockscreen. Both of these apps allow me to use my own wallpaper.

I downloaded donotdisturb, but it didn't shut the ringer off.

Shame

That's actually good for me :p I was looking for something like this ever since Apple removed the option to turn off all notifications which didn't include the phone and SMS alerts I think. Have you tried NCSettings? I think it has a mute toggle so that should include everything even the ringer.

It does. I'll go back to that

Thanks

Okay...I have installed NC Settings and activated the Widget. I also installed NC Date/Calendar widget and it shows when you do the long hold and I tell it to install widget. It does, because you can see the "X" for deletion but nothing else is showing. The widget is blank??? Any ideas/help???

UPDATE: DISREGARD...IT IS NOW WORKING...just takes a little time to show

UPDATE: Ok...have been using for almost 24 hours and have not had any crashes but do have a bug/problem. After using for a while, the iPhone starts to slow down/lag and eventually freezes. I have added and removed widgets, activated and deactivated trying to figure out what the issue is.

Currently, I am using only the Weather Widget & NCDate. In Notification Center, I had SBSettings, Weather, & NCDate active while Weather & NCDate were active on Springboard and the Lag/Freeze happened. I deactivated Weather & NCDate in Notification Center but left active on Springboard Home Screen and for now it seems ok. Not sure if there is a conflict by having them active in both places.

I also tried NCSettings and Lag/Freeze almost instant.

Anyone else experiencing the same issue??? Do you have widgets active in both Home Screen & Notification Center???

Have sent the Dev a tweet about it also.

Ok...after 48 hours of testing, I have found the culprit causing the iPhone to suddenly go into super lag and then eventually just freeze which requires a tethered reboot.

Using NCDate (which I love)is the culprit.

Something in the coding must be slowing down the iPhone. I think there may be a conflict in the time code where the app seems to go slower then the iPhones time which eventually (after a few hours) just lags out and freezes the iphone.

NCDate is perfectly set up and matches the weather widget to a "T"! Wish it would work because it really looks good on the iPhone and the widget & text can all be resized. Font and font color can be changed!

Still love this app and know that more widgets are on the way...Great job Ori!!!

I have tried it and I must say it is just fluent and does not slows down your iPhone even a bit

I agree, using Dashboard X and the widgets that come with it do NOT slow down the iPhone at all. When you add NCDate, you will note that it takes time for it to load after you put it on your homepage. After a few hours of using your iPhone, it will all of a sudden go into super lag mode and then just freeze.

Again...Dashboard X is not a problem and does not affect the iPhone, NCDate does.

I have this installed and problem is when I move my icons, some of them won't open, sometimes a folder doesn't open

Can people post some screenshots of their Dashboard X setups? Kind of interested in how all of them look in different perspectives.

The developer knows about this and said it'll be fixed in the next update so for now you just have to respring when that happens.
