Amazing how quickly time marches on. Thirty years ago, Letterman was daring, edgy and hilarious, some of the most outrageous comedy on the air. He also wasn't very popular. Maybe success has dulled him over the years. Maybe his writers aren't what they used to be.

But I agree with others: #1 was right on the money.

30 years is a loooooooooooooooooong time.. he must be just tired...

Wow you people are lazy...

#1 is the best. :p

Top Ten List:

10. Couldn't call Apple for help because I lost my iPhone
9. I'm more of a Kindle guy
8. You mean besides being drunk out of my mind?
7. Distraught Kate Gosselin kicked off 'Dancing with the Stars'.
6. Thought there was an App that would wisk it back to my house.
5. It must have fallen out of my iPants
4. Volcanic ash! Run!
3. Let's just blame Goldman Sachs
2. At least I didn't lose my finger like that iPad guy
1. It didn't work anyway -- it uses AT&T

#1 is the best, but only because it's true. And really, that makes it somehow NOT funny. Also, I love how they can't even spell "whisk" correctly.

A couple of funny ones in there. :)

Right, because another human being who had the flesh and tendons of their finger torn off by a thief is obviously something to laugh at.

I didn't even crack a smile throughout the entire 10. And the crowd laughing sound SO FORCED.

Cherry Creek Mall is 10 minutes from my house. I heard about this the morning after. Poor guy, his pinky got ripped off. :(

Att

the most funny thing is that just after the clip ended, they served an Ad from ATT, that was funny... and badly spent dollars for ATT...

#1 is sooooo true!

I wonder if Apple is sticking with AT&T simply because they put a tower in Steve's back yard.

(not really... but they probably did)

No, but they may have given him some of their Femto-Cells. I don't think he would like the noise from the cooling system at the base of the tower.

I prefer Letterman over the other late nights guys but that rambling before doing the list almost made me stop watching.
I thought a few were haha funny
The #1 reason did make me laugh out loud though and made up for the rest.

Well ....

I'm not much of a Letterman fan, but I can remember back when he *was* still pretty funny. All I can say is, I think it's be *really* tough to do that show every single night for as many years as Dave has done it. I'm sure the money is great - but money's not everything, and especially once you've earned and saved enough to live comfortably for quite a while - it has to be hard to drag yourself back in that TV studio each night and try to be funny in front of an audience.

Letterman's product hasn't changed much in years - decades. To complain about it now comes off like fanboyism.

I didn't think the top ten lists were ever that funny.
