Day 2 Apple Retail Store Availability

the pair I ordered monday wasnt supposed to ship till 2/8, yet it came today, they are shipping before that date ( or they were )
I'm on hold right now with Apple Sales Support, seems like a high-call volume, I've been on hold for almost 20 minutes, they better have a good reason for not calling, e-mailing or letting me know why they cancelled my order and they better have a pair of AirPods readily available for me ASAP.
I had an order slip through my fingers 15 minutes ago for Boylston St., Boston, MA. Darn! Oh well... I probably couldn't pick them up until tomorrow. How long do they hold them?
Snagged two pairs at the Rockingham Mall, NH store a moment ago for pickup. MA/NH has been lighting up occasionally all afternoon. I'm literally on a plane from SoCal to MA for the holidays where the grass seems to be greener for AirPods shipments.

I almost pulled the trigger at that location, but got a pair at Legacy Place instead. When I picked them up the sales associate said they received quite a few pairs today.
I believe they typically hold an item until the end of the week. Not sure if this is true with the AirPods though.
Richmond, VA finally went green. Got my order in within a minute of seeing it switch - waiting for my "ready for pickup" email now. Once I get that I can cancel my 2nd Best Buy order, hopefully moving someone further up in the line!
Yes, I think BB simply list that as the ship by date 2/8, but once you order, it seems like they'll ship the next available stock, which for most people seems to be within a day.
Got my "ready for pickup" email - and the pair I ordered from Best Buy yesterday will be here tomorrow also, so I'll have both pairs I need by Christmas. I canceled the second set I ordered from Best Buy today.
If only the Nintendo NES Classic had been this easy to snag!
Just picked up a pair from Ridge Hill in Yonkers, NY. Was monitoring istocknow.com all day, saw them pop up and placed ordered on the Apple Store app. The hardest part of this process was the parking garage at the shopping center a few days before xmas.
My two orders (1 set each, did them one at a time so I could make sure I secured at least one) are being picked up right now by a family member as I'm on a flight home, but they seem to have misplaced my second order and are only allowing one set of AirPods be picked up. They're saying they "can't find the product designated to the order" and to call Apple Support. Seems like they oversold or an employee snagged one and sold it to another customer.

I dropped by the Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, WA (20min north of Seattle) and they randomly had two pairs of AirPods in stock!
I picked up one.
It's a Christmas miracle!
An hour after, I got an email that my Apple Store Online order had shipped - but it won't arrive until Dec 28th.
(I guess I should have chosen faster shipping?)
I suppose it's too late to cancel, so I may sell to a friend or just return to the store.

I missed the boat on Monday (the sales associates wouldn't confirm the exact receiving date) but I just kept periodically checking on the Apple Store app.
Just picked up the last two in a 30 mile radius (all the other stores show a pickup date of February 13th).

It was probably me. But Boylston has been getting stock through out the day. I missed one at 11am, then again at 2pm. Natick, Burlington and Hingham had them available from 1pm, for like an hour.
Have been checking regularly to see if they would become available in one of the local Ottawa Canada stores and just after lunch both stores showed up with stock. Drove down and got me a pair.
Checked back around 4:00pm and they are out of stock and show Feb. 16th as next available date

Just snagged my pair, while I was on call with the Apple Sales Support, A green dot popped up 20 miles from me on iStockNow, did the order as soon as I could, verified with Apple Rep to see if she could call the store to see if they had stock, she did and they had the stock so my order wasn't magically cancelled again, on the drive over there, they became available for pick-up and now I have them. All is good in the world now!
