Day 2 Apple Retail Store Availability

Still waiting for Richmond, VA to light up green - both Norfolk and VA Beach have went green this morning. Ordered from Sprint and Best Buy as a backup but would rather go to the source if possible. 😉

Just ordered mine for pickup at Boylston St Store in Boston, already got the email that they are ready for pickup. Have been following istocknow for the last day.

I know that but does In-Store Pickup go live once the Apple Store gets the shipment or once the store opens?

I believe once they get the shipment and the system logs them as "in stock"

And just got email saying order is ready for pickup!!! Good luck to all on the hunt and happy holidays.

I would imagine that Istock go live as soon as they are entered into inventory. So stores are closed on the west coast and no one is receiving anything. I suspect you may have to wait until they open and when their shipments arrive. Delivery is usually by 1030 with most carriers so between 1030 and 1100 be ready

Just came back from the Century City store, zero available. Store opens at 9AM, it was 8:40am when they told us.

UGGHHH! I'm thinking of just doing an online order for Pick-Up and seeing if they do receive any, my order becomes prioritized or if I really have to wait until the date it shows in In-Store Pickup. It's 9:00 right now and I keep refreshing but still no luck in the West Coast.

The Apple Store Manager at Century City said they won't update the web page. The explanation was since they sell them so fast. There were about 10 people in line around 8:15am. Will do my usual walk today, went there 4 times yesterday. Good luck.

Edit: just got notification my Best Buy order from yesterday (with an expected February date) shipped today!
 
I've had two stores in the Chicago area get stock in through istocknow and the Apple Store app. I was able to purchase from both stores in the past hour. Canceled one of the orders since it was further from my house.

Yeah, it's weird. The furthest to the west that I've seen green light up so far has been El Paso. I've never seen NV, CA, AZ light up yet -- it seems to be mostly east coast. I wonder why?

Stores on the West Coast have been open for 40 minutes already, seems like none of them have gotten a shipment yet. Makes me wonder if they'll even receive a shipment at all today, I just want my AirPods before I leave for a trip on Christmas Eve, all this extensive waiting, refreshing, seeing red dots instead of green is frustrating. I just want apple to actually supply enough to meet demand.

I ordered yesterday late afternoon from Best Buy, also had an initial ship date of February and just got notification they have shipped! Guess I'll cancel my order with Apple that I placed on 12.13 that is still showing 1.12 for ship date.

Just picked up my Airpods from Leeds. The staff said they just turned up today and will expect more whenever.
