With how memory management is broken right now it's debatable if even 16GB is sufficient. There needs to be legislation to crack down on scammy misinformation like 8GB on M1 is equivalent to 16GB.

I'd say it seems like it's a good thing if the market is telling them that more serious users are expecting a need for more memory. They have to mark down the 8Gig? Good.

If you hear the keynote segment it says the bezels are a soft grey not white. Apple has done the white and black bezels on iMac and it’s moving to soft grey for the M1. I suspect in-person these will look nice.

Just ordered a 13" MacBook Pro M1 with 256GB SSD and 16GB RAM Refurb and got it for $1211 after taxes. Big drama behind it that spanned 2 weeks, I ordered a MacBook Air M1 16GB model and cancelled it using an Apple gift card but the balance never returned for 2 weeks until today. So for my troubles they took off $150 for me today and was able to get a MacBook Pro M1 instead! Can't wait.
