Today we're tracking a collection of discounts on Apple's charging accessories, including the MagSafe Charger, MagSafe Duo Charger, and MagSafe Battery Pack. All of these deals can be found on Amazon.

Starting with the MagSafe Charger, Amazon has this device for $34.00, down from $39.00. Compared to previous discounts this is about $7 higher than the all-time low price, but it's one of the first times in 2022 that we've seen the accessory be discounted at all, so if you've been waiting for a deal of any kind now's the time to snag the MagSafe Charger.

Next, you can get the MagSafe Battery Pack for $86.99, down from $99.00. While this is a second-best price, we haven't seen record low deals on this accessory since the 2021 holiday season, so anyone looking to buy one right now should look at Amazon's deal.

The MagSafe Duo Charger is also on sale on Amazon this week, available for $114.97, down from $129.00. This is another second-best price for an accessory that hasn't seen all-time low discounts for a few months now, and only Amazon has any sort of notable markdown.

I'm a fan of the duo charger. Great travel companions, we have 4 for when the family goes out of town. I do have thoughts of upgrading my S4 watch this year to either the 7 or 8 depending on the looks so I would like to be able to have a fast charger for the watch. Not sure this will do it, so I'll wait for a new one.

I also love Apple's MagSafe Duo Charger, but it really needs to be updated with Apple Watch fast charging and redesigned to better accommodate iPhone 13's larger camera bump. While at it, replace Lightning with USB-C.

Agree on all!

I’d like to buy the Duo charger, but at $115 its still too much. I’m considering the MagSafe charger for my phone, but my qi charger is good enough, so I haven’t pulled the trigger on it yet.

There seems to be a lot of love about the duo charger. Maybe I should look into it. On review videos it looked kind of sloppy for lack of a better word. I’m sure it’s fine, but it seems like something I’d pick up from Amazon from some generic 3rd party manufacturer for like $20. It surprises me that there are so many people happy to spend $115 on a charger.

Did they fix the issue where the phone won’t sit flat on the charger if it has a case on it?

Also I just read the description on Amazon. It doesn’t even come with a power adaptor (cube)? I feel like I must be missing something.

I love my Duo Charger. It is a little on the expensive side, but buy once, cry once. It just works, it's streamlined, travels very easily and I trust Apple's charging logic to not damage my devices a lot more than I would a $20 cheapie charger on Amazon.

I would love to get the MagSafe Battery Pack but I can't stand how you need a stupid Lightning cable to charge it. You can't charge it on a MagSafe charger, even though it's a MagSafe device! MagSafe was invented to give me a more convenient charging option than plugging in a cable, but I still have to carry a cable around to charge the battery. Bleh...

Picked up a Duo as an open box off eBay for 70 bucks. Other than being open box looked brand new. A bit pricey but being able to charge my phone and watch at the same time with one device while I travel (which is 40% of the year) is a nice convenience. That said, there's no way in heck I would have bought one at full price. Just like the original HomePod, Apple released a decent accessory with a couple drawbacks at a ridiculously high price that killed any value it may offer. I have a few friends who love their HomePods, but not one of them paid more than 199 for them. Likewise I appreciate the Duo, but even at 70 bucks I had to think on it, to say anything of its full price of almost twice that.

I read "Apple discontinues MagSafe" (it's been a long day) and I was like "makes sense"

The duo charger in my opinion should be no more than $75! I assume it’s worth getting if you travel to different places everyday…it just seems incredibly marked up for what it is, especially considering the lack of fast charging support on the Watch side.

I cancelled my MS charger order after watching a YT video that compares the magsafe (with 20w charger) vs 30W usb C to lighting charger. It took 4 hrs for MS vs 1hr44min USB C-Lighting.

The MagSafe charger doesn’t include a 20W USB-C power adapter so if you don’t have one it’s more like $60 for both items.

Whose/which 20 watt charger was used with the MagSafe? Some chargers might not negotiate the highest power delivery rate with the MagSafe adapter.
If you buy from Amazon and you're not happy with a product, it can be returned for free within 30 days.

Apple has since improved MagSafe and MagSafe Duo Chargers' charging and heat management algorithm.

Apple Insider has an updated test that shows narrower gap between the 20W cable and MagSafe Charger, easily outperforming both the 5W cable and Qi chargers.

While MagSafe is still slower than 20W cable, for me, the convenience cannot be overstated.

Magsafe Duo is the best accessory I've purchased in awhile, tbh. I didn't think much of it, but not having to bring 2 charging cables on trips has been pleasantly awesome.

I use the Apple 30 watt USB charger for my MagSafe Duo. All is charged by morning and cool to the touch. Both the 16" 2019 MBPro and 2021 14" MBPro use the 96 watt charger. That will also work with the MagSafe Duo when on the road.

I've never fully understood the design of the regular MagSafe charger. I have a duo wireless charging pad on my desk that I would love to have some magnets, but it's purely stationary. Similarly, I could see the utility in an actual stand, or a magnetic car mount in the car.

The MagSafe charger as it is, to me at least, seems to solve the problem of being able to hold and use your phone while charging, which frankly a simple cable is much better at. I bought a 3m lightning cable for my bedside charging and -- unless you just can't deal with the simple act of plugging the phone in -- don't see how MagSafe could be anymore convenient.

Do you also watch COOP with garage gym reviews?!? I know that slogan...I bought once and cried once with my home gym :D

Thanks for the link, i'll revisit and analyze the info!

I feel like the Duo Charger is still WAY overpriced at $114. That seem crazy high, even for Apple?

Other than my Duo, that’s the only other place I’ve found a good use for the MagSafe: my truck. I purchased a 3rd party vent clip mount that’s very slim but sturdy, which the MagSafe puck slots into. Combined with a 20w USB-C 12v charging plug from Anker I now have a speedy hands free charging solution on the road. Being able to just grab my phone when I get out of the truck, and conversely stick it to the mount when I get back in without having to worry about cables is a nice luxury, so in that setting it is superior to a plug in cable.
