I paid $2250 for my 14" MBP M1 Pro 1TB/16GB from Best Buy with 24 months financing about 8 months ago. By that time it was a great deal. $500 off is a much better deal for such a great Mac Book Pro.

If you have a local microcenter near you, they have some great deals as well. $800 off this configuration:

This deal is insane. Thanks for the lead.

I nabbed the 1599 deal about a month ago when it was on Amazon and with the 5% cash back card it's a decent price for what you're getting.

Except for the Micro Center ones, all of these seem to be 16GB RAM models. Hmmm...

Wish they wouldn't link the other specs to screen size. I could live with 13" specs but with a 16" screen.

This is tempting however too much economic uncertainty to be taking on any financing or departing with 1500 up front right now. Scary times Ahead.

Last week I bought the 14-inch 10-core M1 Pro/1TB SSD model from Best Buy using the 24 months finance offer and I was able to do the price match a few minutes ago since it is $100.00 cheaper on Amazon 😀

I wanted to buy the M2 MacBook Air but I feel like $1,999 for this model is a great deal and since the return window is open until January, I can keep doing price match if there is any other discounts.

So happy with this computer, way lighter than my old 15-inch so it feels like I got a MacBook Air 😂😂

If I didn’t have my 2020 M1 MBP right now, I’d probably be picking up a 1TB 16 inch right now. But what does this say about the market right now?
It follows other reports that say overall PC demand is down.

The fact that Apple "delayed" the M2 Pro/Max and instead discounted their really capable M1 Pro/Max lineup is potentially good news on both front.

The discount counteracts inflation (at least in the US). Apples to Apples (no pun intended), we should have expected everything to go up ~10% instead of down ~20% (yes, I know technology "always" get cheaper...but welcome to the new world)

The delay might mean they are using the time to build more capabilities in the M2 Pro/Max/Ultra (smaller die sizes, perhaps). While the iPad compromises were probably made because of the holiday season...the pro laptops don't have the same seasonality.

It's a great deal, especially for those that would be coming from Intel.

It seems the deal only applies to models with 16gb of memory, has anybody been able find something with 32gb?

I picked up the 14” from Costco 2 months ago when they had the same deal. I initially was going to get the M2 Air with 512GB storage and 16Gb of RAM, but seeing as it was the same price as the 14” MBP seemed silly not to go that route.

Best Buy had $400 off over the weekend for some 16-inch/32gb (not sure if any 14-inch/32gb) but I don't see any discounts (including these from amazon) today. Keep an eye close to Black Friday
