Amazon today is matching last week's all-time low price on the AirPods Max, available at $449.00 in all colors. All models are in stock and ready to ship out today as well.

We first saw this price at Adorama over the summer, and until today they were the only retailer to offer the $100 off discount. We've yet to track the sale at another Apple reseller, but we'll be sure to update this article if more retailers begin matching the discount.

Additionally, we're still seeing a few solid deals on other AirPods models on Amazon, including the AirPods Pro for $179.99 ($69 off) and the regular AirPods for $109.99 ($49 off). The latter model are in stock today, but the AirPods Pro are seeing a delayed shipment date into late October.

We track sales for every model of the AirPods in our Best AirPods Deals guide, so be sure to bookmark that page while you shop around for the wireless headphones.

Sold my original pair was too expensive at £550.

But bought them again for £399 on sale. Fantastic product apart from the case which I solved by buying a third party one.

Surprised to see them going on sale though. Not something you normally see on  devices.

I’m still not convinced. The case needs changing to something better in terms of protection and appearance. If that gets fixed then there is still the issue of price. I could get some Bose & some Sony for the same price. If the price and the case gets sorted, I’d want to try them on….lockdown blocked this and now the Apple store is packed with upgraders etc so won’t be going near a store for a while….

Apple products go constantly on sale, often for significant discounts. Just not in official Apple Store.

Bought these last week for $449 from Adorama (thanks MacRumors for posting about it). Listening to them right now.

I had tried an open box set from Best Buy earlier this year at $499. Great headphones, but $499 was too much and they had a scuff on the aluminum. Curious to see if they hit $399 on Black Friday.

Listening to music with them right now. Great sounding headphones.

Was going to hold out until I could find them at $399, but alas I caved with the $449 deal from Adorama. After using for several days now, I concur that the AirPods Max sound amazing; probably would value them at $449, now.

I still have a problem thinking of paying that much for cans. I was overjoyed to find the Beats Stdio3 Wireless cans at Target half off. And in GOLD! *SNATCH* I remember having sticker shock over my QC cans nearly a decade ago. They still work, and I still use them, but the original price paid was hard to swallow. *shrug* A good investment, but...

Although the look of these is starting to grow on me. I haven't seen any int he wild yet... Hmm...

Given Apple's Lossless/Spatial Audio marking blitz, a new set of "lossless" wireless cans is probably on their way to market within a half year.

A better wireless chip that eclipses what's currently possible w/ bluetooth would finally convince me to buy the Max.

Concur? Maybe if I could try them, I'd want to sell a kidney to get them. *snark*

And that spatial audio is insane! It actually works and it freaked me out the first time I heard anything with it. WOW!

Best Buy also has them for $449, but with the added benefit of being able to get all colors as well in Open Box (Excellent Condition). I ordered a pair in Sky Blue last night for $385.99; heading to the store right now to do in-vehicle pickup.

Also, if you have a Chase Freedom card, the quarterly 5% cashback categories include PayPal. So I checked out using PayPal with my Chase Freedom card for an extra 5% in cashback to make the deal even hotter.

Is this the sign that new AirPods Max is coming?
Sadly both are irrelevant for me cause:
1. Lossless audio does not and will continue to not support iTunes library.
2. Rarely any discount in Australia.
3. Still insanely expensive.

If they come out out with a lighter, smaller, plastic version that folds better and comes with a normal case for $299 I would be a buyer. They're really great sounding headphones but the design is quite odd and they're too expensive for consumers.

which case ?

I sent mine back because of the case.
