Every time Anker stuff get promoted, I cannot think otherwise than adding a "W" before the name. And every time it makes me laugh 😂
Their strategy is trying to flood the media with advertorials and promos so that everyone forgets, indeed. They’ll obviously succeed, their audience is people who like cheap stuff, not a discerning crowd.so everyone just forgot about the privacy issue with anker that was posted couple of weeks back? short term memory lost consumerism at its finest. funny to see some in that thread saying they will never buy anything from anker anymore and in this thread they are saying they just picked something out from anker lol. you guys are so funny
Weird, so they are saying? Thanks. So somehow this a known issue. Almost makes it worse.
Not my view. Have and still use Anker charging and cable products and of the 20 or so I have not one has failed. I went to Anker after several (>5) Apple original equipment cables and wall warts failed. I even had an Apple cable DOA; it and one other came with my iMac. One cable worked, the other didn’t. Replaced under warranty but a big PITA in that they clearly didn’t believe me and wanted the defective cable returned.Good luck to them. After the Eufy debacle I will never buy an Anker product ever again.
Privacy issue? In my ongoing purchases of Anker products I’ve shared exactly zero information of any kind with them. My purchases have been through non-Anker retailers so other than knowing they’ve sold another something, how is my privacy affected?so everyone just forgot about the privacy issue with anker that was posted couple of weeks back?
I’ve purchased many Anker products so I guess that makes me not discerning. But I do have a strong preference for products that actually work, work well, and last throughout my need for that product; EVERYTHING I have from Anker fits that set of needs, regardless of cost. I wish I could say the same for Apple’s cable and wall warts whose failures led me to Anker in the first place.…their audience is people who like cheap stuff, not a discerning crowd.
And if something does go wrong they go above and beyond fixing it. The only time I had an issue was a wall charger not working out of the box. They replaced it with a newer model for no additional charge with no questions askedI’ve purchased many Anker products so I guess that makes me not discerning. Yeah, I’m an undiscerning Anker fan because of my needs above: their products work, work well, and last. Your mileage obviously varies.
Yea always have issues with the A>L and we only have those ports in our carsTheir prices has increased but quality seems to have decreases. I had to return two lightning cables that would not stay connected in my car.
When it comes to privacy concerns, there's a big difference between buying a battery and a webcam/doorbell.
There was a report some weeks back about a set of major vulnerabilities involving Eufy cameras, and Anker owns Eufy. There are cases where their language is not clear regarding what is and is not uploaded to the cloud, but far worse is a vulnerability that allows anyone to guess Eufy stream URLs and access live footage from your dwelling without any password protection or encryption.Privacy issue? Fun stuff, but none of this has anything to do with batteries and chargers, as another person mentioned.
"Stop messing up the rugs. I want to relax for once!"Agreed.
Though I get the feeling that my Eufy vacuum is starting to watch me...

If I remember tonight, I got the Anker 737 yesterday with 2C and an A. I can try charging both our phones and a watch to see if it works. I know this one you can enable the trickle charging.I bought the 65W 3 port version at the same price before Christmas but will be returning it because the usb A port doesn’t charge an Apple Watch with 3 devices connected. I thought I could have one charger for all my travel devices (watch, phone, iPad), but no.

Fair point, it was unreasonable to imply that people should ignore their products in general, beyond what is necessary to avoid the security issues. I personally wouldn’t if I was already their customer. Please disregard my earlier post.I’ve purchased many Anker products so I guess that makes me not discerning.
