Am I the only one who likes the glossy look of the regular glass better? It looks super sleek imo.
The glossy looks very nice indeed. And the newer display which can hit 600 nits is bright enough to mitigate reflections.

Still $500 too expensive. Apple can’t simply charge 50% more than the competition for a commodity product (newsflash: most Apple display panels are made by Samsung!) Every 4K 60fps panel made by Samsung of a given SKU is going to be identical whether Dell or HP or Apple uses it.
I am not willing to pay an extra $500 to $1000 for a stand and/or wheels.
I can get a 77” OLED TV for under $1000 right now. A 27” LCD monitor that costs double that should at least include 6K and 120fps.
Once again monitors cost more than comparable TVs… because DisplayPort? 🤣
Amazon is not technically a retailer but a portal for people to sell things on. As a result, I've run into a few cases where companies would not support/ warranty their product because it was purchased there. In one case I bought a book (Amazon was originally a book company) and the publisher wouldn't honour a deal on an eBook because I bought the book from Amazon. I've seen refurbished products and Chinese knock offs being sold as new, people selling products 2-3x the normal price hoping others don't know any better. Returns are a pain in the ass and you have to pay for shipping to return it. Amazon is good for cheap stuff where you can afford to lose the money if the product sucks. It's basically one step up from buying on eBay (been ripped off too many times on eBay). I would never buy from Ali Express.
To each their own. Some people value the lowest price as paramount, other prefer to pay extra and get good service, support, and peace of mind.
Does it matter? Studio Display is not going to become less mediocre the more people use it.You used it?
At least this monitor comes with a stand, which is certainly a major improvement over Pro XDR. Give Tim some creditExactly. Who the hell is spending $2,000 on a monitor. Relax Apple, you aren't that special anymore.
People wanted a new 27" iMac and Cook said, no problem. Buy my monitor for $2,000 then the actual computer for another $1400 or whatever it is. Apple has become the epitome of a sleaze ball car salesman.
Actually, its a pain to return Apple stuff on Amazon. I just returned some airpods and I hadn’t gotten my refund after 5 business days. I called and spoke to a rep and was told its a new policy that Apple products are inspected upon return and refunds can take up to 30 business days! Had I known this, I would have bought the airpods at Best Buy where returns are a snap regardless of Apple or not. Why? No place easier to return stuff than Amazon…
Seems u dont know on amazon there are 3 types of items:Amazon is not technically a retailer but a portal for people to sell things on. Yes I am aware. I would probably trust something sold by Amazon more than others. Still, there are the issues of returns and support if something goes wrong. Also, having things delivered to/ left at your door can be a trying experience if something gets stolen or goes missing. If one hasn't had issues with Amazon, good for them, but might not represent the experiences of others.Seems u dont know on amazon there are 3 types of items:
Sold by amazon
Sold by store X and fullfilled by amazon
Sold and shipped by store X
Only type 3 is risky...
Btw amazon IS a retailer. Only later allowed other sellers to sell on the platform.
And just to end this answer, i must say that’s all about being optimistic or pessimistic. Im optimistic, so i buy at lowest price. Rarely i have troubles, and if something wrong happens rarely i dont get money back. And even if i dont, that money loss its nothing compared to the money ive saved. Being pessimistic by buying from official resellers, or even worse from APPLE STORE, and adding warranty extensions etc, its a continuos money loss imho.
amazon its "well" known for its easy refund policy. in fact years ago there were massive scams again it. this is the biggest of them:Yes I am aware. There is a fine line between pessimism and realism. The only difference between the two is weather or not the realist is accurate in their claims.
