My midnight Apple Watch also appears black most of the time. Other people think it’s black. I think the midnight color will remain the “black” option for the Series 8 and to be honest, people who are complaining about the color being too blue are overdoing it. It’s a nice color. A lot of people seem to love the color for the new MBA, despite it being a fingerprint magnet.
I'd actually say it looks more black and is a better match for a black band than space grey.

Anyone think it possible that the S8 processor could be made on a 5nm process? - Even if otherwise specified very similalry to the S7. With the main advantage being reduced power usage rather than increased processing speed.

Very nice deal for an AW Series 7, which is a tremendous smartwatch. As someone else previously suggested, I like purchasing the cheaper AW models, and upgrading more often as well as not having to baby the AW. I prefer to treat AW like a banger watch, and use it for silent alerts, notifications, and communications. And it still holds up great, a testament to Apple design and quality for a reasonable price in this category. So long as Apple keeps doing this, Apple Watch is the only wearable I want or need.

Space Gray aluminum is the top seller I guess, which is not available with AW7. AW7 has no special features to offer, not even a nice color. The bigger display is really hard to see - only when the special watch face is anabled.

I'm sticking with my AW5 and if Apple doesn't change its mind, I'm considering to switch to a Garmin Fenix for my next SmartWatch/Tracker. Why? The Fenix has GarminPay and it allows you to share your heart rate data with any device like a cycling computer (which Apple doesn't simply because it doesn't want to - not because of a technical reason).
Additionally it offers up to 14 days of battery life.
