The 12 inch iPad pro has become my default on-the-go device ever since the enhanced desktop safari was added to iPadOS. The magic keyboard has been a game changer for me (especially compared to the Smart Keyboard) and I can do almost everything I need to except coding.

Wow I didn’t even know that the price went up to $2400! Unfortunate that the other models are barely discounted. Not sure if $100-$200 is going to sway most people

I’m just asking genuinely, but do you think iPadOS is really that broken where you wouldn’t suggest spending ~$1000 give or take on this iPad?
I think unless you are a graphic designer or artist that depends on the Apple Pencil, a MacBook Air would be the better device since it has a less limited operating system that can still run most iPad applications. That and for the price of a 256GB iPad Pro with magic keyboard, you can get a 1TB MacBook Air with 16 gigs of memory. I would rather have that over a touch screen/mini-LED display. Obviously this is only my opinion, I am sure that some will disagree.

I want that picture with the red Apple logo as a background. Would anyone be willing to convert it into a JPG for me by any chance? Or PNG? Doesn’t matter. I don’t know how to do that exactly and definitely don’t want to ruin a pic by trying. iPhone 13 Pro Max if that matters if anyone needs resolution information. I’d really appreciate it.

M1 isn’t enough to get me to upgrade. When I do though I’m definitely going back to the 11 inch.

yes, probably that's it what are they useful for, given current state of PadOS (and i am saying it as a user of iPad Mini 6). I use that device for three things, which are browsing, a night bed card game and chess/football game. The thing is useless for anything else, including email. Occasionally, I use it for livescore of music sheets.

My kid uses her iPad to make small animated Youtube videos by taking and combining hundreds of screenshots. As a FCP user, the mere view of that convoluted and unnatural creative process iPadOS forces on us, depresses me most, because I can imagine how my kid could be more productive if the OS were something more productive.

Oh well, I knew what I was buying my Ipad Mini 6 for, so no complaints. Generally it is an expensive and mostly useless toy in its current state.

Yeah, sure. For plenty others it’s a super useful tool and the iPad wouldn’t be around after a dozen years if it weren’t.

My 12.9 works like a charm a year later. I have plenty of space left considering I got the 256 gig. I’ll be using this for at least 5 years.

I have no doubts that iPad is super useful for you. In a same way, be sure that iPad is super useless for me.

They forgot to mention the AirPods Pro. It is now priced to 174.99. I was supposed to get the AirPods 3rd G but the $10 difference... ? I can't beat it.
The APP have basically been sitting at that price point for a year now from most major retailers, not just Amazon, but MR does post occasionally when it's gone back up and then drops again.

It would be nice if it could dual boot or be able to run a MacOS VM easily though, it certainly has the power for it

Oh, no doubt that would be an interesting option for many people at least on the biggest iPad, anything smaller than the 12.9 would feel very cramped with macOS though. However, wether Apple’s marketing agrees with the wishes of some users is a different question altogether. I bet they regard dual boot options with scepticism.

At the end of the day all of the bickering is off topic to the point of the article and discussed plenty of times all over the iPad forum already.

I mean, the iPA and 11" iPP arent that far off on screen size from the old 11" MBA. Also I use various remote desktop tools on my iPA and it's small but manages

I’ve had iPads in that size too and used to remote into my Mac at times, but I just didn’t like the experience of the very tiny interface, even with the ability to zoom in like some remote apps let you. I’d much rather like to see native apps optimised for the display at hand, personally.

Fair enough, your perspective makes sense too

Do you think you'd do alot of 2,000 minute videos? Maybe some cool time lapse videos?
You don't make just one, you have a collection of longer content that is edited to make a final video and if its your means of storage over time its not that difficult to imagine. You dont get the entire 2TB for storage, its less to start plus you have other applications and data on the device. You might have 1.5TB which is less than 30 hours content. That is less than an hour per week over a period of a year if you're not removing content.
