I love my 2021 M1 iMac (8 core). It's almost 2 years old now, though, so I would want a bigger price cut to buy one now.

Not sure of experience of others here, but every time I get an iMac, the damn thing lasts for 7-9 years. Best apple bang for my apple buck.

Yeah my 2006 iMac and 2001 G4 iMac are still humming along. :)

I"m thinking a 32" is on it's way, which is why the 27" Studio Display is on sale too. I expect a possible Ultra Wide screen, or perhaps the new mini LED that was rumored, or possibly a touch screen 27" that will go well with an iPad, because the iPad seems to be on sale as well. 3 items discounted could mean all 3 coming together in harmony perhaps? Heck I'd take a 24" with decent power (m2 pro) and color options that doesn't remind me of cotton candy.

I have the 2004 (seal commercial) 17" iMac, and 2 27" iMacs. They all still run well but get overloaded on webpages like Facebook for some reason. So hopefully an update will address all these problems. But I suppose I'd get the new Mac Mini or the next Studio Mac with M2 or M3 if we don't see an update soon. I do love the simplicity of those designs and upgrading one of those is a lot easier than an iMac with no trade in value after 5 years. But hopefully they put the io ports on the side instead of the back of whatever they bring. It's easy to forget a thumb drive if it's in the back and not in plain sight.

I always remember with the iMacs that Apple gets $200 for that keyboard and nearly $100 for the mouse and these are custom colors, so you can factor in $300 off the top right there compared to say a mini (if you want the OEM keyboard/mouse).
