Today on Amazon you can get Apple's AirPods Pro 2 at $199.00, down from the original price of $249.00. Amazon provides an estimated delivery date between September 9 and September 13 for most residences in the United States.

This has been one of the most consistent deals on the AirPods Pro 2 all year, and is about $5 away from the all-time low price that we last saw in March. Given that we haven't tracked that rare sale again, we definitely recommend jumping on this deal if you've been waiting for a deal on the AirPods Pro 2.

This model of the AirPods Pro can charge via Lightning, Qi, or an Apple Watch charger. We're expecting Apple to introduce a model that adds USB-C charging to the AirPods Pro 2 next week, but it could be a while before those models are discounted.

We track sales for every model of the AirPods in our Best AirPods Deals guide, so be sure to bookmark that page while you shop around for the wireless headphones.

I wouldn't do it. I just bought a pair off Amazon (for $199 when they offered it about a month ago). They came with corrosion damage and Apple thought they may be fake. They wouldn't charge properly and the return process with Amazon has been pretty frustrating and I still haven't gotten my money back. Another issue - the warranty date with Apple isn't the date that you purchased them from Amazon; it's when Amazon purchased them from their bulk wholesale supplier as Amazon is not an official authorized Apple reseller. I ended up biting the bullet and buying full price @ Apple.

Maybe what you bought was not sold by Amazon, but by a 3rd party seller which could mean they're either fake or used/refurbished.

Well, that's simply not true. Amazon is an authorized Apple retailer/reseller. This has been the case since their 2018 deal.

If you did buy real AirPods and they were sold and shipped by Amazon, but the warranty start date doesn't match up with your purchase date, you can contact Apple to have them fix it on their end. They'll probably ask for proof (screenshot) of purchase.

Serious question...
Would these Air Pods be suitable for non-Apple devices? Specifically, a Nintendo Switch (original, whatever version/edition that came out last year), and a Google Pixel 6? Most notably for the latter since like Apple and many other phone manufacturers, they don't have the 3.5mm headphone jack anymore.

I have a 9th gen iPad, but use that very little (let alone with headphones). But I'm sure it goes great with these Air Pods.

.

As for lightning vs. USB-C... my phone and Switch use USB-C, but I still carry lightning around for the iPod Touch 5* and 9th gen iPad, so that part isn't a big deal

* It's a glorified flashlight and calculator, but it's so slim and light, that it's easy to carry around anyways.

EDIT: double negative on the 9th gen ipad paragraph. I'm sure folks got the intended meaning, but corrected that anyways.

I've also considered getting airpods for my Android but there are lots of drawbacks including not being able to change any settings and not being able to update them unless you have a mac or borrow someone else's iPhone.

Hmm, now that I think of it, I should probably consider getting something made by Google instead. I'm thinking Samsung may be better in that regard. Still, eager to hear any insights folks have about Air Pods and non-Apple devices nonetheless!

Everyone should remember that Best Buy will price-match Amazon.

That might be true but i had similar experience with returning Apple product to Amazon. It was super long process of sending it back and waited almost 3-4 weeks to receive refund. Amazon has a third party vendor checks return of Apple product. For this reason i would never buy anything Apple from Amazon again. Not even close to be worth the hassle.

On Ali Express you can get headphones like those for $2 and free shipping. Of course they might not sound as well and they are missing many features, but you save almost 99%. They look roughly the same and they will also connect to your phone via Bluetooth. So if you do not really need them for music, they will most likely do their job.
