Last week on Cyber Monday, we shared a list of deals including Samsung's popular 32-inch 4K UHD Smart Monitor M8. Today, this monitor has dropped even more on Samsung's website and is available for $399.99, down from $729.99 in select colors.

Specifically, the sale is available in Spring Green, Sunset Pink, and Daylight Blue. Samsung's Smart Monitor M8 has a design very similar to the new 24-inch iMacs, and it uses USB-C charging connectivity and includes AirPlay support.

The M8 houses a 4K UHD flat LCD panel providing 400 nits of brightness, a 60Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and adaptive picture technology that automatically adjust display brightness and color temperature for viewing comfort. The M8 chassis is 11.4mm thin, which is 0.1mm thinner than Apple's iMac, and it includes a flat back, thin bezels, and a height adjustable stand with tilt functionality.

Integrated into the display is Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 wireless connectivity, one micro HDMI port, and two USB-C ports one of which offers 65W of charging output for a phone and notebook. Head to our full Deals Roundup to get caught up with all of the latest deals and discounts that we've been tracking over the past week.

I wish more companies made devices like this. Just kit them out with every tech license for everything like Airplay2 and let users decide what they want to do with the screen. It’s kind of like I’ve been on the hunt for a exercise bike, non-Peloton, that’s simply good and has a big ass screen that has Airplay2 where I can watch my own stuff, movies just as much as workout content, while on the bike.

I tried the M7 and was underwhelmed. Main issue was color accuracy (muddy) and panel brightness (not enough NITs for where I had it placed). That said, this is quite tempting as a secondary display. Bang for buck is right up there along with the feature set!

Seems like a great deal. If I needed a monitor with those specs, I jump on this quick.

Dammit Apple, why can't you innovate? Samsung is already on an M8 and your still stuck on an M2.
8>2

In this case, the “8” is a sideways “∞,” which means that it’s rotated 90°. If you remember your complex analysis, that means it’s actually an imaginary infinity, which is waaaaaay less than zero — let alone two.

Samsung has a long ways to catch up. First, they need to exponentiate by iπ, which is quite the challenge, let me assure you!

Exactly, and since there is a race for the smallest die process (5nm, 4nm, etc) samsung having a negative one is an advantage: -8nm is smaller than 4nm.

Apple = Apple m-max * samsung(ωt +/- Ф) ∴ m2 * m8∫ (∞ + i^∞)

which, if you account for the Heisenberg variations is why the VR headset is late

I have the M8 for use with my 14“ MBP and it is a great monitor. This price temps me to buy a second one.
I got one for my Mac Studio and am considering the same. Anybody on here have experience running a dual-monitor setup with the M8 and a Mac Studio? What cables would I need? Any pros or cons?

Thanks for posting this. I purchased one! This is a great deal and it's been on my wish list for a while.

I have the M7 and it's incredible. This is an amazing deal.

I just bought the m70b model m7. What settings have you dialed in? I'm not in love with the picture from my m1 macbook pro via usb-c. Also, is there a way to disable all the "smart" features and use it just as a monitor?

I have a M7 and use it with my 14" M1 MBP and love it, especially for a $200 monitor. You can't turn off the smart features, I just didn't connect the monitor to my Wifi :) The dynamic setting looks pretty good to me but I don't use it for any work that requires color accuracy.

Seems like a smoking deal on a solid panel.
As far as the Smart features are concerned... I have a smart TV, Samsung, and don't use a single feature as everything is run-in through my ATV. I don't suppose there is a setting to disable the smart part and just leverage the dumb panel?

Regardless, my 12-yo is getting an M1 Mac mini for xmas and will be leveraging his current Dell monitor, wireless Apple keyboard and mouse. Should this price extend into the summer, I will prob be pretty tempted to jump on this.

I use this for my dual-monitor setup with my blue iMac and 1000% love it for what I needed it for--a good 4k second monitor and TV for the office/guest bedroom that also connects to my gaming systems with a remote & speaker built in. only wish i could have waited and gotten it on sale! i also have the m7 and the quality of the m8 screen is way better.

I don’t think it’s Heisenberg at fault here. Clearly, v ~ c, so we can’t pretend the Lorentz transforms are irrelevant. Since Samsung’s spin is 1/2 Apple’s, we should use the Dirac equation, which tells us … let’s see … carry the 42 … we can expect to see the headset in … separate the variables … somewhere in the neighborhood of … in this hypergeometric equation, we should have σ = √ℏτ … Thursday, August 33 of 1349, at … differentiate with respect to polarization … 29:81 in the morning.

Wait … that’s not right …
