I don’t think it’s Heisenberg at fault here. Clearly, v ~ c, so we can’t pretend the Lorentz transforms are irrelevant. Since Samsung’s spin is 1/2 Apple’s, we should use the Dirac equation, which tells us … let’s see … carry the 42 … we can expect to see the headset in … separate the variables … somewhere in the neighborhood of … in this hypergeometric equation, we should have σ = √ℏτ … Thursday, August 33 of 1349, at … differentiate with respect to polarization … 29:81 in the morning.

Wait … that’s not right …

You were on the right track, but forgot to use a LaPlace transformation on the resulting eigenvalues generated by the Higgs H^0 decay into a pair of leptons and a photon H→Zγ→ℓℓγ. Just divide by e and multiply by Avagadro's number and you get April 1, 1976 4:44pm Los Altos

Looks like Amazon is also offering this significant discount:

Dammit Apple, why can't you innovate? Samsung is already on an M8 and your still stuck on an M2.

What are you talking about? I bought an m3 MacBook over 5 years ago! 🤔

Got an M7, returned it. VA panels are awful for computer work, and not even that great as a TV. Even at $400 this is a waste of money, get an IPS panel bare minimum.
Yeah, I don’t think I could stand using a VA panel for a computer, at least for extended periods.

Yes, you’re ri … almost right. It’s not Los Altos, it’s Los Alamos, and the date is April 4, 1944 at 16:17, and …

… oh, dear.

Feynman actually did release the Kraken, after all. I knew he was up to something with all that lock-picking!

If you’ll excuse me, I have a shelter to dig … and has anybody seen my towel?

I use this for my dual-monitor setup with my blue iMac and 1000% love it for what I needed it for--a good 4k second monitor and TV for the office/guest bedroom that also connects to my gaming systems with a remote & speaker built in. only wish i could have waited and gotten it on sale! i also have the m7 and the quality of the m8 screen is way better.
How far away from your eyes is the Samsung monitor? I'm currently on a 27" monitor, but can't be very far away from it. Wonder if a 32" will be too big.

Not bad for those in the market. I actually just downsized from a 32-inch LG 4k to the 27 LG Ultrafine 5k that I got for a banger of a deal. I liked the 32, but it was a bit large; the 27 is perfect in more ways than one compared to it.

I'm amazed to see people calling this a great monitor — I got one a few months back — it's an AWFUL monitor if you care at all about colors, darks/lights and just graphics in general. The only thing they almost got right were the aesthetics, as it almost completely copied an iMac, everything else, from build quality to monitor quality is absolute garbage.

As I noted in my post in the Studio section, if I could I would buy 4 of these today. 2 for an upcoming Mac Studio and two for my new Windows desktop. They are the absolute perfect monitors.
No they are not perfect and I have it.

Quality and software issues everywhere.

I got one for my Mac Studio and am considering the same. Anybody on here have experience running a dual-monitor setup with the M8 and a Mac Studio? What cables would I need? Any pros or cons?
I have research this for my upcoming studio. One monitor connects by USB-C and the second monitor connects by HDMI.

Somebody needs to make a 5K 5120x2880 USB-C 30” mini-LED. That would be great.
Why do they need to do that? So you can have a monitor that doesn’t have problems with Apple’s crazy sizing system? But I have a surprise. I have been running a 4K 43 inch monitor for years now. And it works just fine. But my Samsung 32 inches are going to be even better. Since I will have two of them.

You can connect both of them by USB-C. If you have the ports and the GPU, you should (within reason) be able to connect as many as you want via USB-C.

Normal users do not want to use anything near a 43" monitor. Besides, the pixel density on that would be horrendous. There would be no hope of running w/ Retina scaling unless you wanted everything to appear absolutely massive.

The M8 is a lower-mid end VA monitor. The M7 was similar pricing for a long time. The M8 went up and price because of the styling but it was overpriced for its performance. That they've drastically reduced the pricing is not a huge surprise.

EDIT:

Here we go.

I wish more companies made devices like this. Just kit them out with every tech license for everything like Airplay2 and let users decide what they want to do with the screen. It’s kind of like I’ve been on the hunt for a exercise bike, non-Peloton, that’s simply good and has a big ass screen that has Airplay2 where I can watch my own stuff, movies just as much as workout content, while on the bike.

Attach an iPad. Solved.

M7's have been on sale at B&H for a while now ranging from ~$190 recently to ~$230 during summer.

I have the 43” M70A… really enjoying it. My only wish is that it’d have PBP or PIP at least. Other than that, it’s great for hooking up my home and work laptops plus an Apple TV. The new M70B is basically the same except you can attach Samsung’s magnetic webcam and the response time is 4ms instead of 8ms.

I seriously considered buying this monitor. I did not in the end as it is a VA panel and it does not have a decent selection of ports. Went with a dell u2723qe instead, which also comes as a U3223qe. Brighter colour calibrated IPS screen, decent 100W power supply to the MBP, and an impressive range of ports in a built in dock for a display.

If I wanted the Sammy’s TV functions, I could just Velcro an ATV to the back, use the display’s Picture in Picture features if I wanted to watch a show while doing work, and still have a heap of ports.
