Well, people on this forum despise Apple and it’s not considered a bit strong here. In fact, it’s held up as a standard.Despise? Thats a bit strong isnt it?

AirPlay is 4K, but mirroring is 1080p.AirPlay won't do more than 1080p, sadly.
Cool! I use safari, but I’d never thought of looking for an extension - thanks!![]()

I tried its immediate predecessor and it was about the fastest reboxing and return I’ve ever had. Was comparing it to a Studio Display, however, and I value text sharpness greatly.Anybody have this? Is it good?
It can (and presumably does) share information about what you watch through the “smart” interface. I do not think it would share anything on the screen when you are using it as a computer display. Is a smart monitor like a smart TV? I.e. does it spy on what's on the screen and send it to advertisers?
Sounds expensive. Those API calls end up costing something, especially in this scenario of rapidly fluctuating currency values. It also impacts page loading that much more, since it’s another call to a remote server. Easier for the user to assume it’s USD and convert to local currency. Plus, it seems like a bit of a maintenance nightmare. Instead of just plugging text into a CMS that handles presentation for you, you’ve got to handle scripting (and live updates) in the data layer instead of the presentation layer (or in the presentation layer but digging into the encapsulated data object).Great idea! With live updates too, so if you're in a country with unstable currency — you would be able to see the price fluctuate.
I suppose I’ll dispute that. I don’t have a strong connection to 4k, but vs a 1080p computer monitor at less than 3 feet (since this is a computer monitor), 4k likely is visibly sharper. Now 4k on a 32 inch TV screen (with the increased distances people sit from the TV), and yeah, that doesn’t make much sense. But when it’s right in front of your face (as it would be on most desks), it probably does make a difference.4K resolution on a 32” panel makes zero sense for a monitor.
It's a TV. Hence 2160 lines (1080x2).4K resolution on a 32” panel makes zero sense for a monitor.
That would impact some users outside of the US who buy during US sales, ship to a freight forwarder in a US state without US sales tax & deliver it to their home country. It would be cool if websites used the geolocation data to display the local price of items displayed.
As in, most prices I see are in USD, but I’m in Canada, so it would be awesome if that conversion was made automatically.
Just a thought.
I was half kidding) You're right.Sounds expensive. Those API calls end up costing something, especially in this scenario of rapidly fluctuating currency values.
