Samsung has record low prices on the new Smart Monitor M8 today as part of its "Discover Samsung" fall sale. Both the 27-inch and 32-inch versions of the Smart Monitor M8 are available at record low prices during this event.

The 27-inch model has hit $549.99 ($100 off) and the 32-inch model has hit $579.99 ($120 off), and both have multiple colors available on sale. The Discover Samsung sale is set to end later in the week, so be sure to check out Samsung's website for even more discounts on other monitors, storage accessories, and smartphones.

Regarding the 32-inch model, the last time we tracked a sale on that monitor was the first week of August, and it was only at $100 off. This makes Samsung's new deal the best discounted price we've seen to date. Samsung launched this refreshed version of the Smart Monitor M8 back in June, including updates like HDR10+ support and a portrait orientation option.

Keep up with all of this week's best discounts on Apple products and related accessories in our dedicated Apple Deals roundup.

Ah ok. At least you have actual experience with it so it makes sense.

I've seen so many comments on many things and people saying they're garbage only to have never seen one in person haha
That's fair. I did, and I spent about a week hopelessly trying to calibrate it, but it's really not in the same class as Apple displays AT ALL. I'm sure it's a fine device for a college student, presuming they aren't studying anything design-related. :D

Are you familiar with the LG UltraFine IPS 4K 32" 32UL950-W monitor circa early 2020? I bought it for home right before COVID hit. I've been pretty happy with it, and it was about $1,000 when new...curious how this compares in quality.

The main thing I like about this monitor is it is a 32 inch monitor! Yeah!🍸😹 Plus way way WAY better than my 12-year-old 24 inch Dell panel. Which still runs great, I have to admit. Monitor quality has moved on, tho

You could, both are trash tho)))

I would not call it trash. I tried this one and the Studio Display and ended up keeping the Studio Display, but I only found it marginally better, it is not a crazy difference. The Studio Display has superb audio, and feels very solid, and the calibration is just right out of the box while the Samsung one I had to tweak a bit, but it was 3 times the price. Samsung's was a little bit wobbly depending on the height adjustment, but it had better port connectivity, more universal usages and the display quality was not bad AT ALL, it was a very capable 4K display.

You get what you pay for and a sale on trash is no sale at all… 🫶🏻

I'm sure there are plenty of decent monitors out there quality-wise, but I hate their aesthetics. I mean design is a huge part of using Apple products. That's why I tried the M8 — it looks like an iMac clone. :)

Then I wonder why you ended up keeping a product that costs 3 times, but is only marginally better :D
It's super wobbly! The display can not be calibrated well, all the presets don't look anything like Apple. I'm sure it's great for watching Netflix, especially since you don't even need to connect it to anything! Like I said — great dorm room device, but since I'm a designer — it's useless, I expected it to be much better than it was. But then again — you get what you pay for. It actually made me consider spending the money that the XDR costs...
