Also, your name makes it extremely difficult to take anything you say with an ounce of objectivity. Sorry.

Says Lordofthereef! I like a lot about Apple and what they do. Are they perfect, of course not. I'm sure there are many features on Android I would like. For me though I like the seamless echo system that apple offer me. Phone, Tablet, Desktop and TV. I think a bigger phone just crosses over too much with the iPad Mini/iPad.
And to be objective I don't really like the iPad mini because it sucks as a tablet (too small) and is too big as a phone (plus it's not!). See so even Apple fanboy can dislike apple products!

I won't make assumptions about what you think my name means, but just to clarify, it has everything to do with coral reefs. I keep a 200 gallon saltwater reef tank. No other associations intended or implied. :)

A larger screen is definitely needed.

"I just use my iPad mini if I need a bigger screen with VoIP"

yeah, I don't have an iPad mini or an iPad.

As another user pointed out, the iphone 5 isn't much smaller than the S4. The S4 is even thinner, from what I can see.

All good then! I kind of figured but was just pulling your leg a bit!

And someone agreed with OP!

A lot of people say they don't like larger screens without even trying them for more than 10 minutes in store. Trying them for 2-3 weeks and more than likely the majority will not think they are too large anymore, or they may agree that they are still large but love the big screen. I have seen it happen many times.

Just get used to it, bottom line, that's where phones are going...The Note II i had for a few weeks was perfect, sure it was friggin large but it was just awesome doing everything. The only reason i got rid of it was because of the display, it was better than the S3 outside in the sun, but not much better. The S4 is 20% better than the Note II outside. The Note III should be even better :D

I wouldn't say that it won't happen just because it hasn't happened yet. The iPhone is pretty much the only product that Apple continues to make in only one screen size. Even the iPad saw screen size differences. iMacs, MacBooks, etc. all come in at least two different screen sizes these days. Two different (current gen) iPhones might be a reality at some point in time.

Hey I am the FIRST person to admit that if/when that day comes, it will be a glorious day for everyone. I mean people with still complain, because that is what people do,(3.5" + 5"= Waaa why no 4.25", that sort of thing), but it would go a lot further toward satisfying a significantly greater percentage of the consumer base.

I want a phone with no screen to block my view of the world around me, will keep me up to date on everything going on in my life, is smart enough to plan ahead for me, weighs enough so I know it's in my pocket, not have enough volume so I can fit more crap in my pockets (like a candy bar), entertain me with the right music and videos piped straight into my brain, and will type my messages for me without me having to even dictate them. If Apple can pull that off, they'll have one of the best products in the world.

I'm super excited for the note 3,the note 2 was (for my personal usage) the best phone I've ever used- I'm super excited.
