Debating getting rid of iPhone 4S (or any mobile phone) since I got iPad 4G LTE

I read recently it is possible to change your iPhone provisions to Data only. Anyone know about this?

Not a bad idea... but what advantages does it have over Talkatone/Google Voice which is free?

Skype has video calling.

To the OP, what would you do if you had a emergency and had no phone. At least keep a cheap phone for those situations where a text or email just won't cut it. Even with Skype or one of the others, it just wont do in a real emergency. If you are in a car wreck or something worse, you just cant whip out a iPad and call for help easily.

Yea...dont use your iPad as a phone...

If you dont need the iPhone, get a real cheap "classic" phone aka the phones everyone used before the iphone

I'm almost the same 99% of my calls are work related (I have work provided Nokia 6230i for taking these lol), I would dump the iPhone if I could and just have iPad if I could find an easy way to carry it!

Um, put it in your pocket? Obviously it won't work with skinny jeans...
