Yeah this is proof of what I am seeing..The 13 with the 16gb ram are going right up to the ship date. Must not be a popular config? Not sure..what I would like to see is how many people walked into a store and were able to get one that way.

I would kind of assume the opposite. There will be a lot of people who want the extra RAM but don't care about storage so thats the logical choice. Who knows
Thats what I thought too, but Apple apparently doesn't. And according to the stores I have spoken with finding this config in store won't happen has to be BTO.
Still nothing for me, most likely mine will arrive during the holidays when I'm away ^____^
Just checked the Apple website and it appears that most models are available to walk-ins.... always nice to know while there's plenty of us who "Pre-Ordered" yet are still waiting for ours.....

I ordered my 13 with 16gb of Ram on the 17th of November so maybe next week for movement if the supply chain is that tightly managed.
Not if you want a BTO configuration. I wouldn't have bothered if I just wanted the base model.
I've opted for a BTO setup (2.7 / 1TB / 460) but other people have been posting that these configurations are also available in retail stores
- also there seem to be a fair few pre-orders awaiting stock configurations too so it must be twice as annoying for them

Even so, if I had known that would be available for walk-ins I'd have much rather opted for that over the 6-7 week wait.....
Status just changed to dispatched. Its apparently going to take a week to get here which I would be surprised about considering the tracking says its in the Netherlands.
Mine is still in processing purgatory. I'm guessing I won't have it in hand until late next week.
I've now been charged for the order on my PayPal, it's no longer pending. Still in "Processing Items' stage, not sure where it goes from here. I suppose it will go to the next stage where you can't change anything since one they take your money I would think they don't want the order altered.
