Congrats on the perfect year!

I had same challenge early in the year--double my Move goal 2x--and I actually failed it. Excuses: My "long" runs weren't long enough yet, and it was too cold for outdoor bike rides yet.

LOL don’t exercise then - that will show Apple! ;)

You do realize if you set your daily move goal high like mine you will rarely hit it, so it naturally Apple would set a low number of days when this goal eventually comes up? If mine was set at 500 cal per day my goal probably would have been 31 days instead of 2 days. So it’s tailored to the user.

Mine is set high enough that, while I hit the goal daily, I rarely have enough time in the day to exercise enough to double it. Yet it’s never given me a “double your goal X times” challenge. All mine for like the last 7-8 months have been calorie, distance or exercise minutes goals, not all of which I’ve met.

I've only earned 7 of 11 of the monthly badges this year. I've had a great year, losing weight and getting back in shape, but some months the challenges just didn't fit with my training.

E.g. I believe I got a distance goal in September, when I ran my previous marathon. The goal didn't factor in tapering mileage before the marathon and recovering afterwards. So I just ignored it and did what I needed to. There was another month over the summer I missed a distance goal because I substituted cycling for a long run and most of a week of running to let a nagging ache heal.

I was afraid I was going to get a distance goal again this month, but I got a close Move ring goal, which is pretty universal. (I don't know why they have both close Move ring goals and close all rings goals.)

Congrats!!!

Thanks it's all due to the watch bugging me the first few days I wore it (early Nov)!.

Is there a good app for the iPad to examine this Activity and Health data? It's a shame that Apple did all these cool health things yet no Health/Activity app for data consumption.

There is not an iPad app. You have to use the Health and Activity apps on your paired iPhone.

I agree that an iPad app would be nice. They could add some nice graphs and charts using the larger screen.

124.9 miles of 181.6 required for me to complete mine. That's about 5 miles a day, which on a normal month would be easy, but with Christmas Day, it's going to be tough. Gym is closed. Mall is closed. I live in Upstate NY, but it should be 41 degrees that day....
