Well, 2020 is finally coming to an end. Let's see what Apple is challenging us with to send off this interesting year.

Looks like I get to double my move goal 9 times, should be fairly easy.

Good luck to the rest of you!!

I wonder if there is something wrong with my algorithm. September was distance. October was close all three rings 31 times. November was distance. My December is close all three rings 31 times. Basically in the last 4 months I’ve had two challenges. I was hoping for calories or exercise minutes or doubling the move goal.

If Apple is so gung ho about fitness, maybe a New Years resolution would be to put some effort into the watch. I think the issue I have with Apple more often then not is they are boring. It would be nice to have more spontaneity.

Last month I was "challenged" (scoff) to close my stand ring 5 times which I pulled off with flying colors (and by "flying colors" I do mean I closed all 5 rings with ONE day to spare (whoop, whoop!)

This month, not so sure about .... will need my watch to motivate me (probably with threats and intimidation) to pull this off!

October was the same. I don’t like these even though today will be day 113 of all 3.

I think the thing I don't like about this challenge is while it's easy, it doesn't allow me to finish early. I was proud of myself last month that I was able to finish the challenge before Thanksgiving. This one, I have to go all the way to the end of the month. I've been doing this every day since I got the watch so it's not really motivating.

I think my Apple Watch is trying to kill me.

Ok, I don’t have to do the challenges, but after a very active July, walking 274 miles, I was intending to take it easy for a while, but I’ve had to close all my rings every day in august, double my move goal 22 times in September, close all my rings again every day in October, move 3610 minutes (ie two hours a day) last month, and now have to double my move goal 24 times in December. In the middle of winter. In the month that has Christmas.

It’s doable if I manage it every day before Christmas but I won’t be doing much between then and the new year, so I don’t have much leeway.

It’s like work - do a good job once and your boss will never give you a moment’s peace.
