Weight loss is more about diet than exercise. Of course exercise is very important and definitely helps with weight loss. But you can't outrun a bad diet.
I haven't gone out walking daily in about a year at least but when I was out walking 5-7 miles a day, I lost 15 pounds in about 2 months. I did not change my diet which isn't healthy at all.

My diet is extremely healthy. But before the AW I couldn’t get below 12 stone 5-8 pounds. Yesterday’s weigh in I’m down to 12.2. So it’s diet plus exercise IMO.

Earn a total of 2,080 exercise minutes!

Not sure I’m gonna manage this one this month...will try though.

I've racked up 1,384 so far.

Exercise definitely plays a role, but when it comes down to it, it's calories in vs. calories out. So yes, you could only eat junk food and still lose weight as long as you're burning more calories than you're consuming. You probably won't feel great though. Part of a "bad diet" is consuming too many calories. People will consume 5,000 calories, workout for an hour and say "I don't get it, I'm not losing weight". So even if you're diet isn't healthy and you lose weight by just adding exercise, you're simply burning more than you're consuming. All this also means it's possible to lose weight without doing any exercise simply by making sure you're burning more than you consume. While combining both a good diet and a good exercise routine is definitely the best approach and both are important, I think diet has a slightly higher importance than exercise.

I think there are a number of other factors as well. Fat content verses just calories. Metabolism. Other health issues.

But yes it’s just math. Put 2000 calories in and burn 2500 you will lose weight.
Not had a great day on the exercise front. Just my cross trainer session first thing today.
But I’m sure I can manage the 7 minutes a day for the rest of the month!

My December goal is to close all three rings 31 times. Am 20 of 31 days right how. Will have to get on the treadmill early Christmas Eve morning, then again late Christmas Day to get the exercise in. Stand and move shouldn't be a problem. Will finish off the year by using my indoor rower for 45 minutes or more. Healthier than drinking.

Did you know if you meet your activity goal EVERYDAY of the month, you get a "golden" perfect month star? I got one for November. I should be on track for December. Yay!

Interesting. I have closed all 3 rings daily since July 15 2019 and all my badges are silver. I do see the "Perfect Week (All Activity)" showing up with a gold border along with some of the Limited Edition Challenges.

Yeah, it's the perfect month badge. I wonder if there is a perfect year badge, because at the end of the month I would have closed all my rings every day this year.
That's awesome. I hope there's a perfect year badge. Then you definitely deserve one!

Is there a Christmas challenge? A New Year challenge? Can't wait.

Completed my December Challenge (3060 Exercise Minutes) way early seven days short of the end of the month.
But I won't take any off days and keep going.
Congrats to all, who completed their challenge early, and fingers crossed for all that still have some way to go.
I completed all challenges this year, despite it being really crazy...on to 2021.

Well done. That’s double what my December challenge target was.
For those not quite there yet, keep going. You can do it!

Where do I see where my December Challenge is? Nothing is showing up in my "monthly challenges" section of awards 🤷🏼‍♀️
