It's December - Time to get primed for ski season! This pic is from Blue Sky Basin @ Vail a couple years ago:

One of several. Still cycling the same ones from last month, but added the lights around the edge with MacLampsX. I like seeing blinking lights on the computer, missed them ever since I moved to OS X and lost Holiday Lights.

I couldn't let you be the only one with your favourite kitchen appliance as desktop image, so I just had to make one of my toaster... :p

It's the first toaster I've ever had that actually toasts the bread the way I want it, and consistently. I really, really like this toaster (;)):
Very nice!

how do I get copy my desktop, so I can post?

apple key/shift/4 the below F3 then space bar then left mouse click to take a pic of entire desktop :)

edit:

if you dont have iPhoto then open the pic it should open it in Preview: then go to file > save as>Jpeg>Quality select no less than half the quality.. go to the pic and "right" click on it then get info .. pic needs to be no more 241Kb in size ..

edit#2: once your ready to post then below here you should see "attach files" rest is simple

no problem .. ;)

hopefully you understood it.. I was going thru the steps from memory/doing it Sametime ..

The preview way is for people without iPhoto like me

There's a way to resize the pic in iPhoto but i don't know since i don't got iPhoto..

I got a question on Desktop pic taking:

what is the key combo to include the dock in the pic for posting etc?

mauly, an easier way to do it is to hit "apple + shift + 3". This will save a Picture 1.png to your desktop. You can either open it in Preview and save as a .jpeg, or leave it the way it is. Then goto a site like http://www.imageshack.us and upload it, it will give you the url to post in a forum which will just leave a nice little thumbnail to click on for the full size photo.

Or.. "apple + shift + ctrl + 3" which will copy the screenshot to the clipboard so you can just use preview to "new image with clipboard" and won't have to delete the png file on your desktop after converting it.

thanks roger for the lil app .. :D

its much easier to take pics of the desktop etc.. after i messed with it on dragging the pic off .. then you could use Imageshack to host it. Just make sure the pic is under 1024Kb in size for Imageshack or 241 Kb on here..
The name's craig  But I'm glad you liked it.

Here's my current iBook one . . .

Can't believe I've already got
Christmas icons

I have to christmas desktop apps running (X-Mas Tree, and Snowman) but while they run they show in the dock. Is there a way to stop them from showing in the dock while the are running?
