mmhmmm Lisa

and a picture of an internet desktop is hardly incrimating evidence

I think the only things that stand up in a court of law are emails. They can trace them back to a particular machine at a certain time. So you best have a good alibi.

I would not have thought so either, but you never know it is getting weirder and weirder out there.

I usually don't post my desktops, but...

This month it's a photo I took with my Cannon PowerShot S45, and I played with saturations and colors a bit in Photoshop for a more artistic look.

Sorry, genuinely can't remember where I got the icons from. www.xicons.com is a likely guess though. :)

As for the Finder window, with pleasure, though it's nothing out of the ordinary. I tried using custom icons all over the place once and it was a disaster - so apart from a few I keep it the way it was meant to be. :) Can't beat the 10.0-2 Finder icon, for example - the Panther one sucks.

How did you get it to list the number of items in each folder in Finder?
Is it a hack? Or am I just missing something?

That's very easy. Go to Finder, open View Options, check Show Item Info, DONE.

hey, looking nice. nice composition - i've never quite seen anything like that... :)

well, i haven't posted a screenie for a while (or at least my desktop has changed so much since the last one :p) so here's a new one...

Royale Inspiriat

nice theme that one.

but the grass was too much... so the icons grew to enourmous sizes to try and overtake the grass.

but i can't post my screenshot as of right now...

Cathode isn't out yet... and i hear that the dev has kind of fallen off the face of the earth... wish the dev would get back on it and finish it up so everyone can see how awesome it is. :D ;)

Haha... I've spent so long in the 'spoons to the right of the picture, it's not funny.
Wow Nottingham actually looks pretty good in that picture, how in the hell did you manage that!
You'll notice there are no people in the picture. Goes a long way ;) :D

here's mine for the Christmas season!

Hey, I like that streamline look of the menu bar. Where did you get it? Also, where did you get those iTunes control that go in the menu bar?

The iTunes controller in the menu bar is Synergy, an amazing app that also gives you hot key operations of iTunes. Indispensable if you use iTunes.

As for menu bar, I'm guessing col127 is using ShapeShifter.

the itunes controller is a program called synergy. it's a real slick program, well worth the $5 bucks. the weather is called weatherstrip, also about $5 bucks. it certainly saves screen space. i was using konfab widgets before, but i couldn't stand the extra space it used.

oh and the chrome like menubar is shapeshifter. it's a Christmas theme that someone made up.

you might be able to play with the settings in shapeshifter yourself to just affect the menubar. i don't know enough about how the themes work to give you a straight answer, but i'm sure it's possible.
