Still no sign of it on phone or watch. I’m in the UK too. I wonder whether that’s it!
I am thinking the same.

Thanks for taking the time to post about this, along with OreoCookie123. I was quite a bit disappointed when I had no challenge on Friday morning.

All I can guess is the challenge will come through in a few days. There have been instances where my achievements have been delayed on my iPhone and Apple Watch. In particular the Move Streak. One example not long ago was when it locked at 140 days for about a week or so. No notifications or achievement updates at all, despite meeting my move goal each day. And then all of a sudden it caught up and has been alright ever since. Notifications started again and my achievement came through every day as it should do. I am on about 170 days now. Therefore I am hoping that because of that, the challenge might be a bit delayed or something.
[doublepost=1512329460][/doublepost]Also this issue is not Apple Watch specific. My gf has the Apple Watch Sport Series 0, and I have the Apple Watch Sport Series 3. I'm not sure if that helps but I felt it was worth mentioning.

Hot off the press people!! I’ve got my challenge!

I figured this is a exercise minutes one?! It’s pretty mental this one! Considering I had to burn 28500 calories last month they’re only gonna get harder!!

Probably cause Tim Cook doesn’t like you.
He personally jacked my November, Thanksgiving, 3 weeklies for the last three weeks of November, countless 200 300, 400%s and my rolling didn’t miss a day counts. No clue how I got on his bad side.

Mine came through too!! I got a walking one. It is in kilometres for some reason, but I am not complaining.

Yeah, it is for exercise minutes. I had it in November.

My advice buddy is to divide the total number of minutes by 31 to get your daily average. And then keep an eye on the exercise minutes in the Health app. That shows you your averages a lot better. Obviously the more the month goes on, the more accurate it will become. I attached a screenshot for you.

Mine arrived too! It’s to average 39 minutes of exercise a day which sounds okay (although it says I’m currently averaging 31 but I think today is counted in that average and I’m only on 11 so far).

December hasn't showed up on mine, either. I close the three rings every day while logging an average of 200 miles and burning 18,000 calories a month. I'm in Japan. Maybe it isn't working outside the United States?

I can only say these monthly challenges are disappointing.
I've got my first Challenge in the middle of October. In November I never received one. The same story with my wife's watch. Today I got the December Challenge.

Why launch this feature when it's this buggy...

I'm sure they didn't intend it to be buggy. I suspect there's actually a deeper root cause to these problems, like the "Month 13" issue that developers have been noticing. Maybe there's a bug in the HealthKit API or date functions that's causing the calculations to be totally wrong. It sure seems that way when it can think you've completed dozens of workouts on the first day of the month, etc.

I submitted a radar to Apple about it and they've had me do a sysdiagnose with the health logging profile and dump my full health database to them, and have replied to say they're actively working on it.

It's not buggy for everybody. Mine has been 100% flawless with the awards coming in on the final day of the month and the new challenges showing up on the 1st of the month.

I definitely understand your frustration and I'm not trying to rub it in but I'm sure there's just as many people out there (if not more) that aren't having issues.

My Challenge for December is 435 km. This badge is totally biased to runners. My indoor cycling, 2 or 3 times a week at 20 km doesn't count, and my swimming, 2 or 3 times a week at 2+ km, only counts as 2+ km even though it takes me an hour to go that distance. Has anyone figured out a way to capture distance on indoor cycling like the watch does for indoor running? I'm so badge-motivated, I'm disappointed that I likely won't be able to complete my challenge this month. :-( I only run 2 or 3 times a week so I can't really see doing enough kilometres.

Maybe. My October challenge was 64 workouts. November was 2100-ish exercise minutes. December is 734 calories/day, up from 563. <--won't be making that one.

I view these as not only stretch goals, but also alternatives to "perfect months."

I did wonder that, but last month was 48 workouts. I wondered if it was the last 28 days but that was still 35. Interestingly it doesn't seem to have added my 4 workouts since I last posted here and I'm stuck at 22...

Very interesting! My challenge, which is to burn a total number of calories for the month, is also stuck on the value it started the month with (10600) and isn't moving at all either.

Question, it doesn’t count the green exercise ring does it?! I was like “Pffft easy, I get like 100 a day from simply walking around walk (retail environment) but I checked today and it’s hardly gone up?! I assume it needs to be actual workouts?!

Incorrect. I'm in the same situation (do a lot of walking/stairs while at work) and those minutes have always counted toward my total.

I’ve just had a notification telling me I’m behind with the December challenge (to average 39 exercise minutes a day). It’s after midnight so it’s dividing my total by 7; when I looked at the app before midnight it gave an average of 47 minutes a day.

Helpfully it tells me I can still get there by averaging 38 minutes a day. Thereby confirming that I’m ahead rather than behind.

Does anyone have 2 challenges for the month? I have one to achieve my move goal every day and another one to “Go 147.2 miles this month”. First one, no problem.

Second one, yesterday I was thinking no way, but today I’m thinking maybe. At one point yesterday, the daily summary screen showed I had gone about 3.1 miles, but the achievement page said I had only gone 1,027 yards, or something like that, so I was wondering how it measures that. I just checked it again, and it now says I’ve gone 4.9 miles total, which is the sum of my 3.24 miles registered from yesterday and 1.6) so far today.

To earn the medal, I pretty much have to average 5 miles a day, which I figured was highly unlikely given that it’s wintertime and I just don’t get outside much for exercise. But now if I’m gonna tack up 3 miles or so daily just walking around at home and work, it might be worth a 30-40 minute walk each night to achieve the goal.

UPDATE: This is more doable than I thought. While I haven’t done any of the evening walks I mentioned before, I’m sitting here at the end of Day 13 sitting at just over 60 miles. Som I’m slightly off pace, but the goal still in reach.

I am so bummed. My challenge is 435.3 km and I've only registered 166.2 so far. But so far I've also had 84 km of indoor cycling which would put me at 250.2 km and totally on track. Not to mention 4 km of swimming - 2 hours of working out - if I ran to 2 hours it would count as 20 km.

Colour me, sad and December Challenge badge-less :-(

I had this too, but oddly my daily average at the time was like 71 minutes/day and my goal is 35 minutes a day. Seemed so odd for a "warning." I got my watch a month ago, so I'm new to all of this.

Here we go again... Complete the challenge, and the achievemen doesn’t unlock. Sigh.
