If you can afford it to spend some more $ I would definitely go for Audioengine speakers, you will never regret the purchase, they sound amazing.

I was going to suggest the Gigaworks as well, which are desk-filling as opposed to room-filling. You have them now I see (put tape over the LEDs). What do you think of the sound?

The Bose Companion speakers you can buy at the Apple store are really nice. I got them for free so that might affect my opinion of them ;)

Bose is expensive junk from my experience, recently when I was looking for a set of speakers I went to the Bose shop just out of interest, they played me most of their 2.0 and 2.1's and they all sounded terrible, one set wasn't even working properly and they tried to play it off.

Well they now know what I think of them. If you are enjoying them then I am really happy for you but they are certainly not speakers I would recommend!!!

I was planning to buy Audio Engine A5 before, but it's expensive. So when I saw T40, with the price around $100 plus ,I decided to give it a try. It is desk-filling as opposed room-filling ; I love the look of the speaker and of course I love the balance between Mids and Highs. Lows plays important too at certain dynamic levels.
