The only thing dumber than the OP posting about going back to Android is people actually giving a crap.

You gotta go with what works for you. I also prefer larger screens and had an EVO. But to me the benefits of the iOS platform outweigh the smaller screen size. I would suggest you take a serious look at the Epic Touch 4G. It is a superior phone to the Photon is every way.

And this is why people always rag talking about fanboys. iOS isn't for everyone and adult conversations are possible. The OP isn't talking crap, just stating why it didn't work for him. Nothing wrong with that.

Haha, it's pretty ridiculous that people are trying to make you feel bad that you're going back to Android, especially considering the fact that you tried it, didn't like it, and made a perfectly honest and non-Apple-degrading post about it.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your thoughts.

So many of the iPhone users are haters.

Do not understand it as I like to use lot of different phones. None keep me happy for too long. The 4S was good but even after this short time, I am feeling the ho-hum syndrome already!

Seeing as how the OP posted the comment, and hasn't been back is a good indicator he too is a fanboy, and probably never even owned an iPhone. Coming on an Apple/iPhone board, and plastering a comment and bolting doesn't exactly scream legitimate...IMO.

If he DID actually have one, and didn't like it, so be it. Did he really have to tell everyone? As one other poster said, "Who cares?".

i actually like the screen size of the 4s and hope the next iphone model doesn't expand to the ridiculous sizes the some of these android phones are getting to.

If my time stamps are right, he posted this less than 2 hours ago. Some people (unlike me) actually have a life and need to do stuff other than respond to posts in MacRumors.

Just sayin' :D

And it seems we all care being that we are reading and replying...

True! I don't see why people need to make a topic to tell us which device they are using. Topics should be created to ask questions.

I thought that the OP gave some valid points as to why he didn't think that the iPhone 4S was the right phone for him, I also thought that he was quite polite. In the short time that I have had my 4S, I love it, but I also realise that others opinions may differ, nothing wrong with that.

I came from the Htc thunderbolt to the 4s and don't miss it at all. Especially the screen. Different strokes

I also come from a TB, but I do miss the screen. I still have my TB while I wipe it to sell on eBay, and comparing the screens side by side the iPhone is sharper but the TB is easier on the eyes. It is the one thing I miss...

Bring up screen size to apple fan boys and prepare to be slapped with a serious dose of the Napoleon complex.

He did say he was older... maybe he isn't like us "young" folk on here and sitting on an Apple forum all day on a work day... :p

The only thing dumber than posting about how people should or shouldn't give a crap is posting grumpy, nasty, elitist replies to every post that you don't agree with as if YOU know better than everyone.

And thank you for telling everyone what and how they should post threads  Now the funny thing is, when everyone starts their topic with their questions, this is the jacka$$ that probably replies telling those posters to use the search button.

Edit: And while you are at it, maybe you should look at your own topics started before you start criticizing someone elses, you might come across to most as a hypocrite ;)

I'm older (66 yrs) and had the Galaxy S II, but for me at least, the screen and phone were too big and returned it, and the iPhone looks about right in my hands. A slightly larger screen next year would be nice in the same size form factor, no larger.

Each his/her own and do not blame nor bad mouth anyone from switching or selecting a phone that they like. ;)

How were you eligible being an Evo user? I bought my Evo on release day and I can't upgrade until next April.

Have you tried Vlingo? Not quite Siri, but it's close and very nice... Especially car mode.

No need to be jerky about it.

If you were a sprint premier gold customer you got your full upgrade in a year rather then 2...however this program ended and people had/have till the end of the year to use it.

Ah... I envy those with Gold Premier status... :(

Oh well I'm leaving them to go back to At&t anyway until LTE is on the iPhone 5.

Thank you for letting us know, now I can finally go on with my life

As an EVO user (out of contract) who is considering a 4S, these threads are useful to me.

Please refrain from calling people names. You sound like a 2-year old.

I like big macs because they fit in my hand better than a whopper does and therefore believe that big macs are the better choice. Sure, the whopper has a bigger bun, but you get 3 buns with the big mac, which makes it overall bigger...in a smaller package.

It's also a more efficient burger given the size of the package is 30% less, meaning less waste in the landfill when you're done using it.
