Well I decided not to wait for the Expo and take advantage of the educational discounts.
I got a 15" Powerbook with the 1.67. I am ordering a 1gig stick from crucial and will be patiently waiting its arrival. I have been just working with the Mac to get used to it and sos far so good. I set up Airport so I am wireless throughout the house. i really like my purchase so far and am looking to do a lot with it in regards to iphoto and imovie. The only problem I am having right now is transferring video over to imovie from my sony mini-dv camcorder. The computer does not recognize the connection. I have tried everything from the users manula nd also from apple.com/support. I think my next step is to go to the apple store in nearby Grand Rapids.

It is a very sharp computer and I am happy with my choice. Everyone at the store and here online have been very nice and helpful.
Thanks

Congatulations on your new purchase! I know you will be very happy with it!
Extra RAM is another very wise decision!

Now your fun begins!

Do you still have this 6th grade essay? Maybe you could post it for us all to enjoy.

I don't know, I'd have to do some digging around...it was really bad though (I had a teacher who likes PC so I still got a good grade :p )
In my defense though it was before OS X

I am very glad to hear of your new Apple purchase. It seems brilliance strkes late for many as I was also late to switch. The fun in working with an Apple began ten months ago and hasn't faded since. The Powermac G5 has been so stable and fun in the office compared to the PC I had. The short time moving and getting up to speed in Office was not bad at all. Two weeks ago when the necessity arose for a new laptop I purchased a new 17" Powerbook. It has been so much fun. Only thing I miss from the PC side? Utilizing the F2 key in Excel for editing formulas. Enjoy and take care!
