Do you have tiny hands?
Average hands. But with a medium protective case too big. An Apple silicone case no problem.

There probably is but I don’t believe it’s anywhere near the price if you replaced it out of pocket. Even with the cost of Apple care. Someone that actually has it may be able to give real numbers though. But isn’t there still a deductible for a cracked back?
With ios11 it is possible to easily navigate the iPad with guestures without use of the home button. I only now usually use the home button to unlock my iPad Pro and for security verification although too hope for Face ID in the next editionI agree, and it will also push us to buy other updated products (I’m already annoyed with the home button on my iPad, and am looking forward to purchasing the rumored iPad with FaceID).
Bought one today to take advantage of the extended holiday return possibility. My phone has been a 7. This is not much bigger, but navigation is totally different.
I'm finding FaceID a little temperamental in terms of how I have to hold the phone - probably a learning curve.
One of the posts above talks about one-handed difficulties. I find having to access the control panel with a swipe from the top right corner very, very difficult one handed (and I have large hands). Because of really ****** cell coverage, I turn the cell radio on and off a lot, so this could be an issue for me. We'll see. In the meantime, it's a very cool update.
Remove your current Face ID, then create it again. BUT, this time, hold the phone in a natural position, as if you're reading messages (albeit, a tad closer), and register your face. It should work better after that...

Exactly. The only use of the home button on an iPad for me is Touch ID. Transition to face ID couldn't be easier for me. There are already multitasking gestures (four finger pinch, four finger swipe, etc.) since the iOS 4.3 era in 2011 and I'm interested to see how Apple will reconcile the new swiping actions from the iPhone X.With ios11 it is possible to easily navigate the iPad with guestures without use of the home button. Look up "reachability", that should fix your issue.
ijustine YouTube shows setting up face id and in another clip using it. Rolling your face rather than static position.Remove your current Face ID, then create it again. Best if you set up virtual home button using Accessibility - you can define the button to open control centerI tried that and hate where it’s located to access it. It’s like almost at the screen edge.
Plus what I think what plays into the issue for be besides difficulty navigating is the weight. Sort of top heavy-ish when you’re trying to access reachability.

I wonder how many people will want an X Plus if they come out in one year?
When does it change back to the top right? After you lock your screen?Tried that and the virtual home button always defaults to the top right then I have to move it.
The battery is beyond crazy on this! I'm at 65% at 14:38. This is from it being off charge since 07:00 the previous morning. I could probably get 3 days use out of this. And the battery life? It's crazy. My 6 on its best day would leave me with 35% battery life at the end of a 12 hour workday, my X has been averaging 81% battery remaining at 7PM when I get home from work.
What kind of case were you using on your 6 and what kind are you using in your X?
Like I said above 1 hand use is most important. When I use the X naked it was FANTASTIC. With a case I can’t use it 1 hand like I can with my 7.

Curious. Is it just me or does crossing the point of no return (14-day return that is) feel liberating?
Now that I don’t have to think about keeping it or not, I enjoyed it more on my commute to work. It’s my iPhone now.![]()
I use the Caudabe Veil XT. Really not a ton of protection, but I have dropped phones before in the same case and not had any problems. You would still have to be relatively careful with it, but adds zero bulk. I agree though, I wish I could go naked with the X.
