Week 36, C7
No problems at all with the phone, but also has the Maybe Refurbished comment there by factory.

Just looked up my replacement 6+ Apple is sending out to me and it says it was built 8/15 in Fountain Colorado?? I didn't know Apple had a plant here in the U.S. Maybe a refurb?? But it has a mfg date?? Anyone with any ideas??

That doesn't seem right, most devices are made overseas.

That's what I thought! I tried googling Apple fountain Colorado plant, etc and got nothing. Here's

Just picked up my Sim-Free 6S Plus yesterday in the U.S and here is what I got. Apparently Apple did produce the sim-free model for the U.S even before launch. Note that in the U.S the Sim-Free model is actually the AT&T model the A1633/1634

It would be really cool to co-orelate Factory to the Chip Manufacturer and see if a certain factory is using the Samsung chip or TSMC.

TMSC-chip, if someone was wondering. Quite the new phone as well, with week 39. Very pleased so far.

Note that when you get your physical phone, the IMEI is no longer located on the back of the phone for the 6S. It is now located on the removable SIM card tray.

So don't switch SIM card trays between phones or you will end up with mismatched IMEI numbers.
Good hint. Probably I need to take extra care on SIM card tray.

Well, do you ever pull it out unless you switch phones? I see no reason to be extra careful around the tray.
There is a case that you need to test your phone against different ISP, and if your friends want to do some troubleshooting, you will need to pull out the tray.
Such would need extra attention on SIM tray.
Otherwise, you are correct.

I'm not getting my 128GB Sim Free 6S Plus till Monday 10/26, but I was able to get my Serial Number from the Apple Care Plus Welcome Kit that Apple just emailed to me. My 6S Plus must be right out of the factory.

Finally getting my 3rd replacement phone sent out. I was worried it would be a refurb with how long it took to prepare for shipment.
