I noticed they added a disclaimer about the buyer being responsible for customs charges. I don't recall that being there when I purchased my case. Did anyone else see it? I would not have bought the case if it was 2X the price.

I order a lot of stuff from Asia, and the merchants there have generally coped better, and made it easier for buyers by factoring the new costs into the price, and not leaving the buyer playing guessing games, or potentially getting an unpleasant surprise later when an additional bill comes.
These cases do look attractive, and the modular folio is appealing to me. I'm also willing to pay for genuine quality.
However, the risks are hard to overcome -- 1) at the most basic level, potentially not liking the case once in hand, 2) additional import tariffs, and 3) the double-jeopardy of their chosen carriers imposing their own admin fees (SOP for DHL/Fedex/UPS).
And, a gentle reminder of why the device accessory industry has so many players, and more entrants, despite the level of competition -- the iP16P version of the same case from just last year is being sold for 57% off, which suggests that kind of margins involved in these molded plastic shells everyone loves to buy. Apple doesn't bother with businesses it doesn't see as worthwhile for such a large company, but have you noticed that they're still in the case business, and even expanded it to include more brands like Beats?
Sure, the product startup costs are high, as can be the marketing, but strictly on a per unit basis, there's a lot of potential money to be made. Look up any product and try to find it on Alibaba or another B2B marketplace, and get an idea of what they cost in wholesale volumes.
Of course there's also wages, overhead, and other expenses in running a business, but one can still do very well by selling $10-20 phone cases, if that high, branded for $50 or more.
