Yes, that was when Steve was out due to his pancreatic cancer at the time. :(

I wonder if Apple will announce any type of Leopard promo with the release of new iMacs next Tuesday. On the one hand, the timing is good for this release such that it will target the back to school market, yet I feel that many would-be purchasers might be hesitant and consider holding off buying a new iMac since they know Leopard is only a couple months away. As a result, I wonder if Apple will provide Leopard discounts to anyone buying one of these new iMacs... hmm... :cool:

Maybe they're going to pull an iPhone and "introduce" the product on Tuesday, but not ship/release it until October. Allows for hype to build around the product, stock share price grows as the shipping date gets closer instead of a one-day increase, and gets Apple on the news again.

My vote is for multiple product introductions on Tuesday with the smaller/less significant items shipping the same day and the others not shipping until October (coinciding w/ Leopard and MacWorld Expo, maybe?)

It's possible - they've done it before. Or, instead of October, perhaps they will simply announce a 1-month shipping time into September and couple that with a Leopard discount as well. I guess we'll see... It sure would be nice to have something actually released, not just announced on Tuesday though...

I could see a couple different announcements, but I don't know if they will all be specifically new product announcements. One announcement might deal with Leopard, another with something related to iTMS, AppleTV or iPhone - along those lines. The only 2 products I could see being announced are a new iMac and a new iPod - but then again, the release mentioned this would be a Mac-only event, implying no iPhone, AppleTV or iPod related announcements. Hmm...

The Mac mini is well overdue for an upgrade as well, but my guess is that it is slowly, silently going the way of the Cube... :eek: :cool:

Dohhh .. :eek::eek:

I even went to "urban dictionary" looking for an interpretation .. :eek::eek::eek:

Actually, even though it's not in urban dictionary, my friend once used this the reflective past-tense first-person plural imperative of MILF.

Usage: Imagine a collection of middle aged friends from grade school gathered around a table...

Steve: "Hey, you guys remember Jonny Ive's mom? She looks like a granny now, but looking back, she was the MWSF."

Haha, that's a good variation of that acronym... ;)

What an idiot. Who risks their entire career at a company just to tell some average consumer about an obvious update?! :rolleyes: You call selling stuff and taking crap from idiots in a shop a career? Get a life :) Also, the same kind of idiot that told me 6 weeks before the Santa Rosa release that if I didn't buy today my wish list of 1920x1200 and Santa Rosa was arriving at the Developers Conference! Thanks idiot. :D

It was really nice of that Apple Employee to break his/her NDA agreement to give you the chance to start a new thread! I'd love to know their name so I can personally thank them!

I'm sure you're right because an Apple Employee told you. Are you going to buy whatever this new product is?!

Sorry, very non-entertaining standard of sarcasm, only 3/10.;)
