Wowzers... over 54K in posts!!!!!
Trust me, there were reasons for that; a weird intersection of the personal and the professional.

I'd guess 19,000; post ranks usually clock over when a number with several zeros is reached.I would like to add an amendment. I was just promoted to Core and I just crossed the 19,020 post count. Hence the actual boundary is either 19,000 (forum delay) or 19,020.
This explanation makes complete sense. Yes, there are actually two ranks Pentium to P6 and 68010 to 68020 that use 100 and 10 post count difference.I'd guess 19,000; post ranks usually clock over when a number with several zeros is reached.
However, there are a few exceptions (which have escaped my mind); for example, if memory serves, one or two ranks have a short life of ten or twenty posts - these particular ranks are supposed to pay homage to extremely short lived computer processors.
You may have tripped across one or two of them; notwithstanding that, if your rank didn't change between post no 18,999 and post no 19,020, well, then, obviously, you didn't trip over one of the short lived ranks, and the system (which is usually pretty swift at updating such things) may have suffered a slight forum delay.
Cancelled, if I'm not mistaken, is a remanent of banned people from the olden days.We still need ones like "Cancelled" in the list.
Cancelled is just that any member who chose to leave the forum and close their account. Its a current term that is active in xenforo.Cancelled, if I'm not mistaken, is a remanent of banned people from the olden days.
I stand corrected then. Good to know, I thought it was a remanent from the vBulletin days.Cancelled is just that any member who chose to leave the forum and close their account. It’s a current term that is active in xenforo.

Yes, one can be permanently "suspended".However, that said, it does seem as though now, in Xenforo, that suspensions may also be rather lengthy, and possibly even permanent, too.
I think that the older system drew a distinction between these two terms, allowing one to conclude that, while "banned" was very permanent indeed, the use of the verb "suspended" implied a more temporary condition."Suspended" usually suggests that the member's involuntary absence is a temporary, rather than a permanent situation.... "Banned" implies that the person is truly banned from participation in MR at all, ever again. However, that said, it does seem as though now, in Xenforo, that suspensions may also be rather lengthy, and possibly even permanent, too.
In vBulletin I recall it was either “Banned” or “Time-Out”. Right now, from what I have seen, “Suspended” is used for both situations.I think that the older system drew a distinction between these two terms, allowing one to conclude that, while "banned" was very permanent indeed, the use of the verb "suspended" implied a more temporary condition.
You are correct, it used to be time-out and banned. In vBulletin I recall it was either “Banned” or “Time-Out”. Right now, from what I have seen, “Suspended” is used for both situations.
Yes, I recall this to be the case a few years ago, as well. Truthfully, I prefer the older way. Like you said, the temporal distinction sounds more appropriate than the current blanket statement of “suspended”.I think that the older system drew a distinction between these two terms, allowing one to conclude that, while "banned" was very permanent indeed, the use of the verb "suspended" implied a more temporary condition.
I agree, the older forum software handled a members disposition a bit differently and I found it useful to know who left permanently or temporarily.ike you said, the temporal distinction sounds more appropriate than the current blanket statement of “suspended”.
I'm going to say that maybe its time to rethink that whole intel chip sequence.but didn't realise intel cpus were added
Yeah, this is true, how long until we have the first users hitting M1 or M2 status? Considering the great distance between post counts, me thinks only a handful will achieve M1 status.I'm going to say that maybe its time to rethink that whole intel chip sequence.
First off, the intel names just don't have the same "oomph" and name recognition, I mean Westmere vs 68040 or G3. Secondly, the move to intel cpu names for ranks didn't age well - no one's fault but maybe mix things up.
Have a number of Motorola CPUs, then some PowerPC, a handful of Intel, and then focus on ARM, you can maybe include M1 pro, M1 Ultra, M2.
I'm not suggesting adding the M series at the end but reworking themfirst users hitting M1 or M2 status?
