Delete Own Posts or Thread

Maybe I am simply missing where the option/feature is.
Can I not delete my own posts or threads?

You can’t delete your own posts or threads. Using the “report” button you can request the moderators to do so.

You can delete your posts. You can't delete the post if it is the foundation of a thread. If your post qualifies, you should see the delete option available to the right of the edit button.

Edited to add: The perk should be used with caution. If the staff believes a member is abusing the perk, one may see a message from the staff in his or her inbox.

I think contributors can delete their posts, though there may be a time limit.

I just checked and I still have the option to delete posts past 6 months+.

That doesn't show a post that has been made. It shows a post in the process of being created. And if it was the start of a thread that was posted, the mods would have to delete it.

Odd indeed. I am sure Arn will get it fixed for you.

yep, deleting 1st post is the same as deleting the whole thread and that would remove other people's posts.
