Damn so does that mean that the silver model doesn't have pvd coating on the stainless steel like other silver models for previous phone?

That looks terrible. Was this a hard plastic guide you had to firmly push down onto the phone?
The installer guide is a flexible hard plastic band that wraps around the iPhone. I snapped it into place gently.

I was under the impression that plastic can’t even damage metal this bad!

Agreed, do you mind posting a pic for us all? What color did you get for your iPhone 12 Pro?

I wonder if any of the colors are more susceptible to scratches.

So I heard that the new gold has the best scratch resistance coating of them all! After seeing the non blue, blue color of pro I am actually leaning torwards my very first gold purchase!

I am probably stupid but I can’t tell what I am looking at with your pictures! Lol

What product are you referring to specifically?

That must be some incredibly thin stainless steel then. I doubt that it’s very thick. If it dinted that easily from my screen protector application, don’t drop your phone unless you have a case on it

The notches in the installer guide that clamped the guide onto the iPhone actually left a mark :/

I didn’t even get the opportunity to use the lightning cable to restore my iPhone, yet it still has these marks 🤦🏻😭

I have to see this stainless steel band tomorrow where there is balanced sunlight; directional lights and a lamp makes this so much worse that it bothers me. I’m hoping these are not bad under normal lightning. And I’m also hoping these aren’t scratches. I really don’t wanna go to the Apple Store when I don’t got a car 😩

Wow! That really sucks. I was just about to use a similar alignment tool with my iPhone.
Thank you for posting this. Worst comes to worst you have 14 days to exchange it for any reason.

bro, trade that damn phone in for a 1990 Bucket car so you can at least get around. Then get some flip phone and spray paint it shiny silver. Bam everybody wins.🤣

The worst part is I don’t even have the screen protector on the iPhone anymore. I immediately installed the screen protectors on the iPhone, an hour later I realized there’s dust under it, used my last spare and accidentally got my fingerprint on it. I’m such a klutz, and I really liked this screen protector too. 🤷🏻

Weak. What a shame to put a butter-soft mirror finish on a phone after bragging about how much tougher the screen is on these models...

I feel your pain, but in the grand scheme of things... I’m not sure this is worth losing sleep over. Perfection is a false god. ;)
