Weak. What a shame to put a butter-soft mirror finish on a phone after bragging about how much tougher the screen is on these models...

I feel your pain, but in the grand scheme of things... I’m not sure this is worth losing sleep over. Perfection is a false god. ;)
I got a master plan, I just ordered a new iPhone coming next month, I’ll just the iPhone on a case and slap on the old screen protector until 14 days, then request a return and have an additional 14 days to return. Hopefully by then I get the iPhone in time lol

Edit; nah, never mind. I don’t trust myself and I don’t wanna deal with eSIM and Apple Watch data. I’ll just stick with my 11 Pro which I haven’t even transferred my data at all!!!

I have a couple tiny scratches in the finish where the metal meets the screen. Don’t think it’s build residue as it won’t wipe off. Fingernail can just barely feel em. Not sure how they got there. It’s annoying but I don’t know that it’s worth starting an exchange over. Especially when using a case and on the IUP. However the new Apple silicone cases show the metal edge so I can still see them.

If people are this sensitive about tiny little scratches you shouldn’t own a car. It’s a scratch magnet, lol.

Sure, but dropping 1k+ on something only to have it be scratched day one, hurts...
Especially when it's no fault of your own.

This shiny polish will scratch every time you are using it thats totally normal. My alignment guide was also very firm but luckily no marka on my aluminum frame. Thats the benefit of a matte frame.

thats the anodized aluminum layer which is pretty scratch resistant

Don’t use some cheaply made kit to put on a screen protector. People need to get over it and just use the damn phone. It’s not a piece of art or an heirloom. It’ll get replaced in a year or two.

That must be some incredibly thin stainless steel then. I doubt that it’s very thick. If it dinted that easily from my screen protector application, don’t drop your phone unless you have a case on it

I don’t know I’d want to put a case on it - that might scratch it too!

What he posted was not a scratch. It was the actual material chipping off or denting. That is most definitely not normal.
