what exact time if you don't mind me asking? I had 2:04:51 and got the 5/13 window. I'm just curious where that cut off was.

If you've been charged but status hasn't changed yet, just give it a bit! Mine took a half hour after being charged to change to "Preparing"!

Me too and it's not mine # Hoping that the other goes through soon as it was actually the first order.
I used my Navy Fed for the link band I bought and it has a 4/29-5/12 window... no charge yet, but I wasn't expecting one.
I used AMEX for my watches and it hasn't charged yet, either, dammit.
One of my 42mm SS went to preparing for shipment. I only noticed because my Apple Pay said declined as I happened to be reading something on my phone. I had to call the bank. Apple re authorized it right away and it went to preparing for shipment.
This order was the the first order I put in at 3:01 AM. I put another order in at 3:10 AM which is not yet authorized, but still shows a 4/24-5/8 delivery. I had it AppleCare to that second order, and as I am writing this the AppleCare charged to my account. So the second one must be close to. Apple told me on the phone that these things (initial early preorders) will be shipped expedited for a 4/24 delivery.

My order just changed to "Preparing for Shipment" and my credit union fraud prevention people called. Apparently I've bought too many Apple products recently...

Charge showed up just now!!! WOOT!I bet they're doing a re-auth prior to shipping, my order is still in processing.
Well I guess the order confirmation has nothing to do with this, I ordered at 12:03AM and they still haven't charged me.

It took several minutes after my card was charged to switch to preparing for shipment but it is official!!!!

Followup, Apple's status just went to preparing for shipment!
So, guys, it seems that if you see a charge on your CC, you should also see preparing for shipment. Yes.
