Just thought of something , what IF the ones that have been changes to "preparing for shipping " are the watches in China . And maybe the ones who haven't changed "delivery for 4/24-5/8 are in ups and fed ex hubs here in the U.S.? Like (Kentucky) for example . I think that's where they are distributed right ? At least iPhones and iPads in the past. That's a possibility #

Or maybe we aren't going to see our watch on the 24th, maybe that's why there's a date gap of two weeks for delivery #

Lol

P.s macrumors members have crashed Apple servers #

We killed the store.

There is nothing better than this thread. Long live the anarchy.

I'm still able to check my order status. It still says preparing for shipment and not eligible to cancel.

I still can't although my fiancé can soooo not sure what that means for me haha his is preparing for shipment whereas mine is still just processing items (or it was before I couldn't get in).

Having tornado warnings and torrential down pours over Harrisburg (very large UPS distribution center) hoping everyone there is ok... Not just because of my watch. But if you are from the central PA area and haven't seen movement on your order in the upper Md / central PA are this may be why.

Processing Items Delivers: 4/24-5/8 by Standard Shipping

No changes to Support Profile either
Nothing, no status changes, no bank charges #

I checked mine a few minutes ago (I missed all the fun, apparently) and it said Preparing for Shipment. A charge was posted to my Apple Pay credit card three hours ago, which I didn't notice at the time. Woohoo! Movement!

Now, here's hoping that within the next day or so we actually start getting told when our specific devices should arrive. This wait is driving me bonkers. (No, not the Disney cartoon character from the '90s.)

I just got the crash message to, but interestingly just before I did I refreshed the page and it was totally different to normal. Instead of just asking me to sign in with my Apple ID like it usually does, it also had a separate section for individual order check, and it prepopulated my order number...

I definitely hope your right

Im thinking they are charging them in bulk every hour... that is what it appears.. I believe there is Hope for ALL 4/24-5/8 pre-orders to receive their Apple Watch's on Friday

I think the SS models with Black or Wite Sports Band is the default Apple Watch (not Sport or Edition) model that Apple would presume most would buy since they are the starting lowest cost options. Enough of those are probably in the U.S. already and those who pre-ordered early enough should get theirs by 4/24/15. And if they are shipping from the states then you should get your watch even if they don't ship them until Wednesday. So keep hope alive.

This explains everything, in PA.
