I am not sure they are prioritizing developers. I think the blue SKU is the least one in demand and hence this is what they can offer devs without impacting the delivery "waves"

Only 9 out of 288 in the orders sheet have the blue band. Compare that to about 75 for black band.

True. I'm one of them. I guess the consumers preferred the blue band with the smaller watch. Interesting.

Just curious if you are from California and you got your tracking number. I ordered 42mm SS with plain leather strap at 12:03. I've been charged and preparing for shipment but can't find the tracking number. Anyone else in California with that model have theirs? They all come from Rialto next day so I often get the shipped email the day before.

Thanks

I've been charged for two sports and have been in preparing for shipment status since yesterday but no sign of shipment via UPS My Choice, and I am in SF. I imagine they don't have to ship until quite literally the day before so I am not expecting any updates until Thursday.

I placed my order around 12:05 AM PST via the Apple Store app - 42mm Milanese Loop. The shipping is "Standard Ground Shipping" ==> 3-5 days shipping.

No charge or pre-authorization as of today. Since S/H is 3-5 days, I am sure I won't get mine on 04/24. I won't be surprised if I get it on 05/08...

What irked me is that there are people who have ordered the same thing but WAAAY after 12:05 AM (per Google Doc)and is in "Preparing for Shipment" status. WTF Apple...

I think you're right. Murmurs on this thread indicate that they're using UPS Next Day Air Saver, which might mean that delivery notifications are going to be late in the game.

38mm Sport (Blue) - Got preparing for shipment yesterday (no status change since), and 42mm (Space Gray - Sport Black) - stilllll processing. Both were in the 4/24 - 5/8 window. Conf email for the blue came in at 3:03 am and conf email came in at 3:04 am for the Sport Black. We're in Ohio, so hoping there's some credence to that the closer you are to a distro center (Harrisburg, PA?) the later an update might come in :)

That is what happened with my iPhone 6 Plus. I didn't get any updates until the day before launch and I still had it in my hands at 8:30 AM on launch day.

I hope that's true! I haven't seen any NY orders get shipping info, and I'm in upstate... Just waiting...:(

maybe there orders went to processing before yours because there watch has to travel from China and yours is already in your home country.

Apple has never used ground shipping during a pre-order/product launch

It's completely possible you will receive a shipping notification thursday evening and receive your watch friday.

Woo! Got a tracking number sent through MyUPS. Just the label so no tracking info. Next Day Air delivered by end of day 4/24!!!!

Damn I like FedEx better. They always deliver early, like 10 - 11am while UPS comes around 6. I know, first world problems right?

Kind of makes taking the day off from work a waste since I get home at 3:30. But I'm not gonna chance it.

I have.
42mm SS Milanese 12:03AM
SF Bay Area

I got my tracking number via UPS MyChoice last night. Next-Day Air Saver shipping. Curiously, 4/21 scheduled deliver date, but it's definitely not here yet, lol. UPS said it hasn't shipped from Rialto yet, but I'm expecting it will arrive on the 24th.

Does your order show "Standard Shipping"? According to Apple Chat, that's 3-5 days delivery time. So UPS ground or something similar.

At last! Ordered first day @ 5am ET from Ontario

Maybe you're right. If there is a distro in Harrisburg, that would explain why I, in Pittsburgh, might not see an update until tomorrow or even Thursday. Nice choice of watch by the way ;)

everyones order says standard shipping, it will come via air.

Apple support chat is not a reliable source of information regarding your order.

42mmSG Black Sport Band
Ordered at 12:03AM -
No CC Charge -
Still Processing - 4/24-5-8 window.
Location: SoCal
Feeling pretty defeated, the number of those still waiting to even be charged is shrinking rapidly. I guess I'll know tomorrow whether or not a lunch day delivery is even going to happen.

Ah, ok. Thanks for the clarification.

I thought there are different type of shipping, like "Standard" = 3-5 days, overnight, etc.
