I think this process really has them at their max as far as logistics is concerned. With all the band combinations (each with its own box from what we can see from the videos) further complicates the launch. They are literally building and shipping these as fast as they can. I saw a post in another thread where the Watch serial number indicates the week of 4/13-19 as the date of manufacture. An incredible feat to assemble, test, QC, flash, package, palletize, haul, fly, deplane, sort, and deliver in the span of 11-15 days.

Interesting. I didn't realize they literally didn't start production until orders were placed.

How can it be delayed when the estimated delivery is up to 5/8? It will be delayed if it couldn't reach you by 5/8.
because a 2 week window is total BS in the world of amazon prime and google shopping express. We are all waiting our delivery on launch day, not on May 8th. So Apple should be better than this at providing delivery estimates.

You do know even Amazon Prime can't deliver in 2 days if they don't have the item in stock right?

And what delivery estimates will be better?

Yes. It just means the package hasn't been scanned again but most likely everything should go fine. Mine is traveling with yours (42mm SS Milanese). They are all

moving next day air saver so the commitment is by end of business day tomorrow.

Keep the faith! :D

Thank you for the encouragement :)

Not too sympathetic for Apple... They've known about this for at least 6 months and they chose the launch date. It could have been any date that would make them successful, they could have added 3 weeks. 6 weeks between preorder day and tomorrow. I find it inexplicable that they can't deliver a basic watch to someone who ordered 3 minutes after the doors opened 2 weeks later. Their dates, they had total control over this. I can see not being able to handle demand for 6 hours after store opened but 3 minutes? Did they only make a few thousand watches to start?

Probably some not all orders. Has anyone else checked their serial number if they can see it on their support profile?
Ps screw you Apple. Watch commercial just came on TV as I'm typing this lol.

Let me give you a glimmer of hope;

I work at FedEx (UPS WORKS THE SAME WAY) Each major city has thier own Fedex plane. The plane leaves each city around 10pm and flies to the main hub. In Fedex case, it's Memphis. All freight is sorted and the packages go back on to the planes for each city. The planes leave Memphis around 2am back to their city. Planes get unloaded, delivery trucks get loaded and drivers leave terminal around 8-8:30 am. Again, this is Fedex, but UPS works the same way. Good luck!

What I've experienced not limited to Apple orders, but all of the many orders I place each month mainly because shopping online is so convenient.

Whenever possible I always choose FedEx. Their service in my area is just amazing. The consistency and accuracy is nearly flawless. Only once in eight years was there a problem, it was very minor and had no impact on me of consequence.

Conversely UPS isn't great at all. Friendly and courteous, but they just don't execute with accuracy and reliability. That my Apple Watch is coming via UPS is nerve racking.

Just saw this thread, had been following the news post thread. Two questions (apologize if they've been answered already but 380 pages is a lot to sort through):

1) Anyone having luck with SS Classic Buckle 42? I ordered at :19, processing still no charge but quoted 4/24-5/8.

2) When in transit does the charging occur? Before they leave China, in Anchorage, or in Louisville?

Thanks!

Same Here

Agreed, I love FedEx! Their slogan should be "Take the brown out of your life"

I'm in Denver, ordered the same watch with conformation at 12:03, CC charged on 4/20(pending) and it went from processing to preparing for shipping. Nothing happened on tuesday and then last night I received my tracking # from UPS. This morning I noticed that the charge was gone on my CC. Put a hold for pickup on it at the UPS CC and the tracking says it's moving and will be here tomorrow. My order moved to shipping on the Apple site at about 5PM and I received an email from them that my order had shipped.

Unless only the ones that have shipped out so far were those models and a bunch of inventory is sitting in a warehouse from earlier dates.

Not giving you many hopes guys but with iPhone Some people got there phones and were no updates at all. No tracking and no movement on apple side.

Redundant post lol Has anyone's watch left Harrisburg yet? lol Mine is on the Sloth Express I think lol

I just sold my 42mm for $1000. Totally worth the wait!

Think about all the schmucks that are ordering the watch with the only intent to resell it. Eliminate these dorks and I bet many of us get watches that now won't. Sorry but I ordered for my wife and I because we actually want to own it and not take advantage of the demand.
