my Deliveries app says I don't get my watch until May 8, and i checked my order number on fedex, it said it'll be here on the twenty third! But for some reason my credit card hasn't been charged...

Store reps do not know. Online chat reps do not know. Stop quoting them as any sort of useful resource. They're not.
I set up my "Uptime Robot" app to macrumors.com. As soon as the Apple Watch starts shipping this server will most likely crash due to this forum and I will get notified

There's a ~10 second delay between the email badge showing in the dock on my Mac and the notification popping up, and I keep scrambling thinking it might be a shipment notification. Stupid spam emails, can't you see I'm busy??

I love this forum around preorder time lol it's a lot of fun. I remember for the 6+ preorder there was a guy on here telling a hilarious story from the point of view of the phone as is made its way from China to his doorstep. I would read to just to see more of his posts lol

Hand crafted, tangible order status changes?!
Now I have a whole other package to check my order status on. As soon as my order status says "preparing to ship" for my hand written change of order status, it could mean my watch is only a few days away from shipping and delivering, so Ill be sure to post here as well.
I'd be worried that the time taken to print the message and put it with your order would delay it by a day.

Yeah. I don't really know what I would use MacRumours forums for after i get my delivery confirmation. But it's been a fun way to pass the time.
