I think we can assume that theses who got the January, it means something around th e middle of January, like 14 or so...

This is insane year for apple, Tim promised special year, and apple definitely delivered the most chaotic year ever, product postpone and pushed further ( like iTunes, iPad mini, iPhone 5, and the iMac), all the year nothing came and at the end a blitz of hardware.
From innovation stand point apple didn't introduce something radical, but more of the same.

My take, not a good year for apple ( and it show in the stock)
The stock will take off in the next quarter when the crowd can finally digest this hardware attack.

And I think that the iMac is by far the most idiotic, emmberesing moment for apple. That one year they would like to forget I am sure.

Mine is PREPARING TO SHIP! Order details are below. It seems like it can stay in this status anywhere from a couple hours to a couple days. Any insight on the usual amount of time?

I know there are some stragglers who placed orders on November 30 but haven't shipped (I feel your anxiety!), but I wanted to dedicate a thread for the delivery status of those who ordered in December. Order date, location, config, shipping status.

It takes anywhere from 24-48 hours to change from preparing for shipment to shipped. Also, how did you get next business day shipping? I asked several times and they all said they couldn't do that because it's coming from China, and they can't do next business day since it's coming from China (which is obviously a lie).

Thanks for the info. I originally ordered a 21.5" but decided to upgrade to the 27". When I called to confirm that I could return the 21.5" even if I open it, install a bunch of programs, and reload my user profiles, I was put on hold for a very long time. I explained my situation (waiting for 27" but want to use my 21.5") and complained about the wait time, and the nice gentleman upgraded my shipping to next business day. I didn't even ask for it, or anticipate it. I'm a newbie to these fora, so I haven't learned the tricks of the trade.
